People Say Were CrAzY!!!!!!!

My family visited DLR in 2010 flying from Michigan over the Thanksgiving holiday wee in 2010. We had a great time and plan to go again this New Years (and experience Cars Land - a couple of days after New Years).

Get to the parks when they open; and don't plan to leave. The Friday after Thanksgiving was a *mob* in DL in 2010. I think the park closed from time to time in the afternoon. Pretty much packed elbow to elbow or tighter by the time for fireworks. Have fun!

I'm in the same boat this year, Dec will be my fifth time at Disney since Oct 2011 (4 DL, one WDW) and there are a couple of friends I'm just not gonna tell about it. I don't want to hear the "you're going there AGAIN?!" speech. Oh and my favourite: "Isn't it for kids? Don't you get bored?" Ugh, don't you get bored of gambling in Vegas or laying on a beach in Mexico? At least my fellow DISers understand! :D

I get that as well from friends, family and co-workers. "Didn't you just go last year?" "Why are you going again so soon?", "Why don't you try a different vacation instead of the same thing over and over again?".... Okay yes, we tend to do Vegas and DL over and over again but we love both of them so why not go where we want?!?!

The way I see it is, my kids are still young enough to love going to DL so why not enjoy it? They are only young once and I want to take advantage of it while we can. Although, I doubt my kids will ever outgrow DL. :rotfl:

Vegas on the other hand, well I love it and I will never outgrow that place either. :rotfl:

Thanks to all for sharing! This trip my son (age 9) said " I wish we could move to California. Then we could go to Disneyland every night after dinner. " Sounds good to me:-) I posted a thread about our trip. It was the BEST!!!

I had found cheap cheap airfare so i flew into Disneyland from San Francisco Nov 3rd in the morning then flew home later that same night. Tiring but FUN but it was the day that they were filimg the Christmas day parade so it made Disneyland a bit of a hassle but CA Adventure was awesome.

This sounds exactly like my DS9. He has already decided that after he graduates our whole family is moving to Anaheim, all of us will get visas and work at DL and we will live in the Disneyland hotel:)
I am totally on board with this plan!!!! Hope he still loves Disney in 9 years as much as he loves it now.

We live a 6 hr drive away, a few years ago we were at an A's game (having a great time) and we were playing the "what do you like better?" game, it turned into "what do you like better, a churro at the A's game or a churro at DL?" unanimous answer was DL so on the way home from the A's game (hour drive) I called and booked a hotel, we ran into the house and threw some PJ's and clothes in an overnight bag and off we went......got to Anaheim at about 3 am, hit the parks on Sunday and came home that night. Man, we were tired on Monday. LOL :)

This is 100 degrees of total awesomeness! I sooo wish we lived closed to DL. That sounds like such a good time!
