As Promised my report on the tour!
I think my husband really enjoyed his surprise.
We arrived at Seaworld at about 10:00 and immediately checked into the reservations counter. They explained where to meet what time to be there and circled it on the map. You meet right by the pacific point sealions. Our tour was at 1230 pm. Our group consisted of 10 people and a baby (not the best at diserning age that young but maybe just over a year, she wasn't walking and slept most of the tour) We had the family of three with the baby, 2 other couples a mom and a little girl about 7 or 8 celebrating her birthday and my husband and I. At each stop on the tour the guide would make sure you were able to get pictures and you saw everything as you stopped at windows to offices and vet rooms and such. Once we went through one set of doors, the aviculturist opened what looked like a freezer door and said it was a nursery as they are just coming out of hatching season. We then moved into the back of the actual enclosure, he brought out a king penguin and I think he said a Gentoo. He held the king in place so everyone could get pictures with him, the education guide even took pictures of those by themselves of or of the couples as We wouldn't have one of us together other wise. Once the king let him know he was done he was let back to the other side of the fence in the enclosure the little penguin stayed a bit longer and you rotated to get pictures with it all the while the avicultulist is telling you different facts and taking questions. I am sorry if this is a bit of a ramble it is a great tour.
Edited to take out the pics they were only boxes? sorry It won't let me put images in.
