So, this is our final day.

Our wake up call came at 7:00 am. The ankle was about the same, maybe slightly better. I had pretty much determined that this would be a pattern at this point - slow healing from here on out. I still had some pretty decent swelling, and I had to go back to work on Monday! I was concerned about driving, and at the same time I didnt really want DH driving all 16 hours of the trip home himself! (And neither did he for that matter!

) My thought was I would try when the time came and see how I did. Plus, I would have to drive myself to work on Monday. So, hopefully I could handle it! I did tell DH that I wanted to try it at a time when I could use cruise control though.
We had packed the night before, so we packed up the van after we got ready to go, and we drove over to the Poly. After valet parking the van (I love the DDE cards!

), we checked in for our 8:30 ressie at OHana. Jill called and said she was on her way. We decided to wait for her to get there to take the photo. I took a couple of pictures while we waited. Here's one...
Jill arrived, we had our picture taken, and we were seated. Jill asked the hostess if a particular manager was there that day. She was told he was, so she asked to have him sent out to our table. She knew him. They were both going to be in an upcoming wedding. We were seated next to a window, and they brought us our juice and pineapple bread. The pineapple bread is heavenly folks!

It is one of the reasons this is my favorite character meal. The manager came out to talk to Jill, and while we were talking, Mickey and Stitch come by to visit! My faves! And another reason this is my favorite character meal.
DH showed this manager the note that Mousekeeping had left the day before. He also found it quite amusing, if not disturbing.

He stared at it for a while, and he suggested we call SSR to ask about it. (Which we didnt do.)
Side note: I find that whole interaction a little MORE comical now that we actually know the meaning of the note, I think.
Another CM came up to him while he was talking to us and asked him a question. He explained, when he was done, that in the large party that had just been seated a few tables away, there was going to be a proposal!

How cool! (We wouldnt be there long enough to see this though.) They brought our picture by, and it was actually good, so we bought it and gave one of the smaller pics in the package to Jill. And the manager took it to get it autographed by all the characters for us while we enjoyed our meal!

I really love the food here too
you guessed it - another reason this is my favorite character meal! We told Jill about the mugs, and she suggested we walk over to lost and found after breakfast. It is at the kennel, and that is a short walk from the Poly. At the end of the meal, Jill asked about getting a to-go container for some pineapple bread for me (which they normally dont do!), and the waitress brought us a couple containers!

Usually, I wrap a couple pieces in napkins and throw them in my backpack. I just have to have a little for the road!
We finished breakfast, got our signed photos, and we walked over to the kennel. (Oh, the final reason that OHana is my favorite character meal - its at the Poly with that tropical theme, and I LOVE tropical!

) Jill used to be a CM, so she knows her way around, and she did the talking at lost and found, and our mugs were
FOUND!

So, we walked back to the Poly, and DH went to get the car from valet while I sat on a bench with Jill. While we were sitting there, I got the call from the CM who was helping us book the September trip with free dining. There was a problem, and the trip was going to be considerably more expensive than we had discussed. It didnt make any sense. (It was almost twice as much!

) We had checked the prices online ourselves, and she had struggled a bit when trying to quote us a price the other evening, so I told her DH was getting the van from valet, and I would have to talk to him. By this time the van was being pulled up, and Jill went to get her car. (We were meeting her over at DTD for a little last minute shopping.) I told DH that the CM is on the phone and briefly what she had said and gave him the phone. He talked to her for a bit, repeating what it was we wanted
POFQ, arriving on 9/29, departing on 10/6, free dining of course, & four 1-day base tickets...Ding, ding, ding!

Oh, she ran it with four tickets for the length of stay!

The same thing she had done when we talked to her the other night, and we told her that we have APs & the other two wont be staying the entire time, and she wrote it down! But thats OK. All would be well now! She told DH she would call him back in a while with a confirmation number. Apparently they were still having some computer issues.
We arrived at DTD, found Jill, and headed to World of Disney. After looking around for a bit, we grabbed the few items we wanted, a few Christmas beanies of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, & Goofy, and we got in the slowest moving line in the universe! It was insane! I mean, they were swamped, and the woman behind the register was moving at the speed of smell

and wrapping T-shirts in tissue paper before placing them in the bags. At least she was thorough. Jill went to try another register while I waited. Jill came back after a while (successful), and I was still in line! Finally, we made it through the line, and we went over to the Christmas shop & the Art of
Disney store. After that, Jill said she wanted to pick up a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich to take for the trip home, so DH and I headed over to Pin Central. We browsed the collectors books outside, had nothing they wanted of course, and went inside to find that they were about to open up the trading board.

We got in line quickly, and the line moved quickly as each person only had about 30 second to swap 2 pins from the board. We quickly made our choices when it was our turn (I managed to point one out to DH that we needed when he was struggling.

), and Jill came up and went through the line as well. We walked out to the parking lot with Jill and told her where we had parked so she could pull her car around. We had her mug and minute cake for her. (She had never had minute cake, and I brought her some as she had requested.) Hugs and bye to Jill again.
DH and I got in the van. It was downright hot! The van confirmed it. It was 86 degrees! We drove over to SSR because I needed to exchange the 15th anniversary DVC T-shirt I bought at BC. I had somehow ended up with a size too small. I also wanted to get another Pal Mickey because mine was the 50th anniversary edition and was starting to get dirty on the hands, so I wanted to have one to use and one to hold back for souvenir purposes. Plus, the new one came with the Sorcerer Mickey clothes, which you cant buy separately! (I am a bit of a dork.

) I took a few pictures.
And we hit the road for the trip home

, DH driving for the time being. In Gainesville, we got stuck on the interstate from 2:45 til 4:20!

Yes, thats right, 1 hour and 35 minutes! (I wrote it down so I would remember.) While we were waiting there, I ate the pineapple bread we had brought with us. We hadnt eaten lunch yet! And I worked on making notes in my PassPorter, which is sitting next to me right now for reference and has been most of the time I have been writing this report.
