OMG...another glowing review for Boma! I am trying to pick 1 fancy restaurant for my trip, as we don't have the dining plan and I don't know how many of my friends will want to pay that much money for a meal! :confused3 I am, however leaning towards Boma! :thumbsup2 It is the Zebra Domes that are the selling point!!! :rotfl2:

Glad to see you got through AK without the wheelchair! :cheer2: You're on the mend!!!

What happens next?!? popcorn::

Oh, the Zebra Domes! :cloud9: DH actually tried to reproduce them for a dessert trade they did where he works, and he was successful with one or two at a time, but when he tried to make a batch, something would go wrong. :( BUT guess who got to taste test the ones he did make? :teeth:

I will get right on that!

I'm all caught up! Lovin' your trippie! Did DH's hands get sore from wheeling you? DH ended up wheeling me for 3/4 of a day due to my bad back and he said the grips gave his hand burns... anyways i'm glad ur ankle is feling better...looking forward to more of the story!:thumbsup2

His hands did get sore! You could see the little grooves in his hands even! :scared:

okay now i am all caught up on two installments that is just how it goes with me , i am glad your ankle was feeling a lil better i love your pictures .. beautiful, gorgeous wish ya were here, (do ya know what movie that is from?:listen:) anywhoo can't wait for the next installment...

OMGosh! I DON'T know what movie that is from! But I REALLY feel like I should! I know I will kick myself when you tell me. You will tell me, won't you? Since no one guessed my quote about "...parking up front...a good omen.", I will tell you. That is from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. DH and I are movie buffs. We both used to work at Best Buy, and we own over 600 DVDs!

Sooooo CUTE! They are playful, aren't they? We have Jasper in agility class right now, and she loves it! It actually wears her out, which is saying something for an 11-month old beagle! :rotfl: Of course, it wears DH and I out too!

OK, OK, I know! I will get on it! I got distracted by my new iPod! I tell you, I am just like a kid when it comes to a new toy. :rotfl:

YAY- I'm all caught up!

What a bummer about getting hurt on your trip! Glad that it sounds like it got better as the trip went on, though!

Your Wishes photos are stunning! And your Festival of the Lion King ones came out really well, too! I have to give in and get a dSLR someday!

I meant in another post that we might have had more parks in common while in Disney.

I get to write about Animal Kingdom next. Woo Hoo! It was a very good day!

I wasn't that far behind. Just one installment.

You are s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g this out.:rotfl:

Lynda- I have the Zebra Dome recipe if you want it! I got it from the chef when I was posing as a Dining Reviewer (readership 150,000).

They look hard to make, though.

Mmmmm...I miss me those alcohol puffs.

Lynda, count me in as another Peep who has finally found her way over to your fun trip report! I have really enjoyed it and am glad I stopped by before you are all done with your story.

My sister was at WDW the same time you were, so I'm checking out your photos that have lots of people in them "just in case"!

I'm mulling over renting some DVC points from a coworker, maybe for a fall trip. He has raved about staying at Saratoga Springs. It was nice to see your photos of the room.

Glad to see you are still hangin' there! This is taking far longer than I anticipated! :rotfl:

Thanks so much! And I do  my dSLR.

Animal Kingdom is so beautiful! I can't wait to hear about your day there! :)

Yes, I know I am stretching. :sad2: I should go for the UtahMama record! :rotfl: (J/K UM!) I need to wrap this up as my next trip is looming in the not-so-distant future!

Thank you! Actually, yeah, I would love it! Our recipe came from All Ears, and I think the problem was in the technique. It IS challenging! But maybe your version describes it better or something. (Only for use on cheat days though, of course! ;)) Yeah, I can't wait for more of those. I think we may have to go to AKL just to pick up a few! :rotfl:

Yay! :yay: Another Peep! Welcome!

Hmmm, there are lots more of my photos on my photo storage site. It is lyndapphotography.smugmug.com I believe. I will post the link in my siggie soon. But you could look for her there for ages. I took a LOT of photos!

SSR is beautiful! We love it! It is ONE of our home resorts! I can say that now because we bought AKL points! :woohoo: (More on that in a potential future TR ;)) Anywho, we love SSR. I would recommend requesting a room close to the main building or with a DTD view. DTD view is gorgeous, especially at night! As you may have read in this TR, we are planning to go in the fall as well, but we are staying at POFQ for that one.

Great trip report so far. Thanks for sharing!

Thank YOU for reading! I really appreciate it! :goodvibes

OK, so here's what's been going on. I have a friend who has been dating this guy for several years, and he finallly proposed, and she doesn't want to wait anymore, so she is getting married THIS SUMMER! So, I have been helping her with some details. We have spent one evening and part of Saturday looking for the dress, and at lunch today we went back to one of the stores, where she tried some on again so I could take photos. Tonight I have to make a CD of the photos for her to take back to WI (where she is originally from) with her this weekend to show her mom. So, I intended to get started on my next TR installment over the weekend, but that didn't happen between dress shopping and DH being off. We also have started doing agility classes with the puppy and built her some equipment over the weekend that she could practice on. So, as of this weekend, I really hope to have started, if not completed, a new installment! Thanks for hanging in there with me! I promise to get done before I leave on my next trip! :rotfl:

This is another MK day! But first, here's the obscured DTD view we had from our balcony. Still pretty.

I LOVE this park, I tell ya! We awoke at 7:00 am to get ready to head to the park in time for EMH. The ankle is still sore and still swollen, but no worse than the day before, so I figure if I can handle AK, I can sure handle MK. And we planned on an afternoon break at the hotel. So, we were off to MK! We arrived to find the crane up behind the castle, as we had the other day. They took it down in the evening before, so we figured they would again. However, it messed up my morning pics:headache: , and I haven't had a chance to edit them yet. I WILL be removing the crane from these photos!

We headed over to Tomorrowland, which we hadn’t really done much of yet. First, it was one of DH’s faves, Buzz Lightyear! Now, I read UtahMama’s trip report, so I checked out the thread about tips for Buzz Lightyear. And I was turning the car around, trying to get targets and I was NOT doing well! I finally ended up hitting something by accident and scored reasonably well, but not as good as I have in the past. What is wrong with me??? :confused3 I will have to read more and work on this before our next trip, because I so want to score big and maybe even beat DH at this game! When we were done, Carousel of Progress was running, so we headed over there. Gotta go listen to the narrator of A Christmas Story (My favorite Christmas movie!) and sing “It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow…”. After that, we took a ride on the TTA while waiting on the line for Buzz to get a bit shorter, which it did, so we rode it again. No better luck this time around. Oh well, there is always the next trip! DH went into one of the shops to ask if there were specific time for Push, the trash can to be out and about. We had seen Push on one of our previous trips, and it was hilarious! We really wanted to see him again. DH emerged from the shop successful! He had a list of times! :thumbsup2 We sat at a table near the spot where Push is said to make an appearance. We sat there for quite some time, and no Push! :sad2: So, finally, we gave up and headed over to ride one of my favorite rides, the Haunted Mansion. I LOVE me some Haunted Mansion! It’s not DH’s fave, but I LOVE it - start to finish, I get a kick out of it. Saw the hidden Mickey plates in the ballroom and made it out alive. For lunch it was Columbia Harbor House. This was a first for us. I had always wanted to sit in that part of the restaurant that people can walk underneath. So, we got our food (pretty good fried fish!) and made our way up to the upstairs dining room and found our seats. Perfect! This was our view…

And here's a shot of the castle I HAVE removed the crane from...

Once we were done with lunch we decided to head over to Wilderness Lodge for some photos of another DVC resort, then head back to the hotel for a break before dinner at Tony’s with Jill, our local friend who was joining us for MVMCP that night. We hopped on a boat to WL. I always thought the song was called Slow Boat to China, but apparently it was Slow Boat to Wilderness Lodge. I swear, it took AT LEAST 30 minutes to get there! I could tell DH was getting concerned about how much time we would have left by the time we got there. I was too! We took a short walk when we got to WL, and I took some photos. After that, we decided it was NOT wise to take the boat back to MK and catch the bus back to SSR. We decided to go catch the first bus that came by and get a bus to SSR from wherever that was. The first bus that pulled up was…DTD! Sweet! :cheer2: That’s as close as you can get to SSR. We could just walk to SSR from there! I wasn’t crazy about doing that to my ankle, but I DID want to get back to the room to relax for a bit and ice my ankle! Then, as we were getting off the bus at DTD, what do you think we saw? A bus to SSR! :yay: Woo Hooty! (;) to my Peeps) So, we hopped on the bus (well, I definitely didn’t hop, but you know what I mean). We thought this would be great - a quicker trip to SSR, and I wouldn’t have to walk on my ankle. Did you notice I said “thought this would be great”? Well, our driver thought differently from us, I guess. For one thing, this bus was going to Typhoon Lagoon first. Oh well, that shouldn’t be THAT bad. Well, it wouldn’t have been if it hadn’t been for the fact that the driver thought it was necessary to both drive incredibly slowly and to pump the gas pedal the entire time! :headache: So, as we lurched along, DH and I got increasingly irritated and amused at the same time. When we finally pulled into SSR, the driver pulled up at the carriage house first! This is the opposite of normal. Usually that is the last stop, so the bus is pointed the wrong direction to pull into the angled parking, and she just pulls up by the curb! We QUICKLY got off at this stop! We had packages to pick up at the gift shop, and we were beginning to fear for our lives. I thought DH was going to kiss the ground when we got off that bus. I think he did yell out a “Thank You” to the man upstairs for getting us back to the hotel safely. :rotfl: We went into the carriage house, picked up our packages at Artist’s Palette (There were a LOT!), and walked back to our room from there. This was a bit of a rough walk for me because we had all those bags to carry, and we ended up cutting through some bushes to get there quicker.

Well, we finally got back and had about 40 minutes before we had to leave. So, I iced the ankle and rested briefly. We decided to try to change our ressies for the last night of our trip. We had ressies at CBR for Friday night, but we hadn’t had a chance to pack, and we’d have to check out in the morning. With my ankle being hurt, it would be a real pain in the rear to get all the bags packed and moved, up to the room at CBR, and back to the van again. DH called the front desk, explained our story, and even though they were completely booked for the next night, we were able to extend our ressies! The CM that DH spoke with explained that they set aside a few rooms for emergencies and such, and we could have one! :thanks: What a relief! We also decided we would go by the Beach Club the next afternoon to book our September ’07 trip with the free dining. After freshening up, we headed out to catch the bus back to MK.

We had 4:50 ADRs at Tony’s Town Square, and Jill was meeting us there!

122845864-L.jpg

We arrived, checked in, and I snagged a seat on a couch in the waiting area. Jill called and was parking her car at TTC and just missing a tram. Over the phone, I heard what sounded like the tram driver talking on his speaker. She said she had to go, and she’d be there ASAP. OK. DH and I were seated outside. It was BEAUTIFUL out! :goodvibes And we had a lovely view of Town Square. Very shortly, Jill called and said she was walking into the park. I told her we were outside and then that I could see her. She spotted us and made her way to where we were seated. Hugs all around! It’s always so great to see Jill! Apparently, the tram driver was talking to her over his speaker! He had said something like, “If someone wants to catch this tram, I’d suggest hanging up the phone and running.” :lmao: While we were waiting for our dinner, a young girl came by and saw DH’s lanyard, and her jaw dropped. DH asked if she wanted to look at it. He also pulled out his zip lock bag of extras and let her look through them. Her dad came and told her they were being seated while she was looking, and she asked if she could come back. Her dad and DH both said that was fine. She was so cute. So amazed at what DH had (mostly cast lanyard pins he had traded for that week). When she came back, DH ended up offering her 4 of his pins that she needed for 2 of hers that he needed. She was just so earnestly in awe and so sweet. :cutie: She said she would have to go get her dad. She brought him back and he helped her pick out 4 she needed and OK’ed the two DH wanted. She thanked us profusely and left. We had a great dinner. We had a sun dried tomato pesto spread for our bread while waiting, and it was so yummy! We all had the NY Strip Steak, and it was good too, as was that red wine gorgonzola butter that came with it! :cloud9: And we all had the smoothies with the glass mugs you keep. They have Lady and the Tramp on the side. So cute! And when we left they gave us brand new clean, boxed ones. So nice! :) We took them to the locker we had for the tripod and stowed them there. We went to get the MVMCP pins for that night at Exposition Hall and headed over to Tomorrowland. We rode TTA again, once again with video commentary. (Note to self: Must figure out the posting video thing before next TR!) And we yelled to passing cars as well. This time we spotted a space cookie! And heard Tom Morrow being paged! When we got off the ride, there was a woman who was riding alone in the back of the train we were in, and she said she really enjoyed us! :rotfl2: When we were riding TTA, DH and I mentioned that we had not ridden the Speedway. I hadn’t done so since I was a kid, and DH never had. I told Jill that we would have to wait for a future trip though because I didn’t think my ankle could take it. She said it wasn’t that bad at all, and we headed over there after TTA. We decided, for some reason (space, I think), to all ride separately, and DH was going to do video commentary again. So, we boarded our little race cars, and we were off. Jill! This is NOT easy on my ankle! I managed, and the ankle was better once I now longer had to hold down that infernal gas pedal. We headed over to Fantasyland and got our picture taken in a Dumbo wearing a Santa hat they had set up for picture purposes. Too cute! Here's Jill & I.

122846302-L.jpg

Then we checked the wait for Philharmagic (gotta do this one more than once per trip), and there was no wait, so in we went. I just LOVE this show!:goodvibes It was getting to be time for Holiday Wishes again, so we staked out our spot. I got a few real keepers from this one! It helped having seen the show just a couple of nights before. Here's a couple.

During Oh Christmas Tree
122855227-L.jpg

After the fireworks, Jill had to head home because she had an early morning the next day, so we said bye. We’d be seeing her Saturday morning before we left for O’Hana. DH and I headed over to see if we could get in a ride on POC before the parade, but the wait was too long, so we headed back to the train station and claimed our spot for the parade. We were getting really tired, so we decided to call it quits after the parade was over. I called Mom to check in before the parade started. Apparently we didn’t get much snow at home, but we had gotten some, and it was COLD! Not exactly exciting news. I snapped a couple of photos down Main Street just as the parade was starting to come towards us. (Our spot was actually off to the left side of the train station.) You can see the "snow"!

122849362-L.jpg

This was a nice place to see the parade from, but would have been nicer if we had gotten there early enough to sit in the middle for a view as the floats came down Main Street. I got some decent pictures though. Great thing about sitting up here is no heads in the pictures!

We headed to the buses, and on our way back to the hotel, we realized we forgot the mugs in the locker! Well, we would have to call in the morning to see if they were found. We got to bed promptly upon our return! We were exhausted, and we had to get up at 7:15 to meet with our DVC guide the next morning.

Okay i am all caught up now ! i love the pictures i feel like i am right there with ya .
as far as the movie quote it is from French Kiss with Meg Ryan She is my favorite i qoute her alot....

Glad your ankle was a bit better, why would the SSR bus go via TL isn't DTD right next to SSR? I love your wishes photos and how sweet was your DH trading pins with the little girl :goodvibes:

See? I KNEW I knew that! Ugh! That does explain why DH didn't know it when I asked him though. :rotfl: I don't know if he has seen that movie. I love that movie though! I can see the scene where she says it in my head right now. :goodvibes

Yes, DTD is right next to SSR, but so is TL. And apparently, at certain times of day (when it isn't busy), the SSR bus will make rounds to both DTD and TL. This really wouldn't have been a big deal if the driver hadn't been under the impression that it was necessary to go 2 mph, then 5 mph, then 2mph, then 5mph the whole time! :confused3 I guess she did save us a little time by pulling into SSR backwards so our stop was first instead of last. I think I would have gladly given that up for a smooth bus ride though! :rotfl: Oh well, at least it give me something to use in my TR.

I can't stand when drivers "pump" the gas when they are driving! It always makes me nauseous! Good thing you got off when you did!

Your DH was so sweet to trade with the little girl! His spreading pixiedust: helped make her trip to WDW magical!!!

Loved all the pics, as usual, and am sooo glad your ankle seems to be feeling alittle better.
Soon you'll be :dance3:! :rotfl2:

Yay so glad you came back with another installment! I totally agree about the WL boat. We stayed there in January and it took forever! I just love MVMCP too. I'm hoping to make it up there this December to see it again.

Oh is the guy/voice in Carousel of Progress really the narrator for The Christmas Story?

Please don't keep us waiting so long next time! I love it! :flower3:
