Well, now I'm nervous. I did my online check in yesterday, uploaded my passport pic, and it says "under review". Is that normal? This is the first time I've checked in for a cruise since Covid. Thanks.

Yes, that's completely normal. Sometimes it takes a few days and sometimes a few weeks! Nothing to worry about.

And, if for some reason they never get approved, you can show them when you check in for boarding. That happened to my mom last summer, submit once and was asked to submit again. Submitted again and still pending. Finally showed the document at the port.

Thanks everyone!! I thought maybe it was because both my husband and I look different (older) than we do in our PP photos.

Perfectly normal. It's not an instant review process.

They have a human review all of the submissions, which takes time. So that's why it instantly goes to "Under Review" once you upload the documents. Once a human has reviewed and determined the submissions meet the guidelines (or something needs to be corrected) you'll get a notification from DCL.

If it's of any consolation, my hubby and I submitted our information as soon as we could on our Online Check In Day (April 7, 2025). As of today (April 17, 2025), we're STILL listed as "Pending Review". We provided passport photos, pictures, etc., and we're also older adults with no kids in our party.

I'll get anxious about it if it's still under review a week before sailing.

That's only 10 days, that's actually not too bad. Mine for the EBTA took three weeks (just got approval last night).

I've definitely had some still be pending the week of sailing. No reason to be anxious, though. If for some reason it doesn't get approved ahead of time, they'll take care of it at port.

Update: we were sent an email yesterday from DCL stating that our status has been finalized. The email said that our documents were reviewed and verified. It was 17 days before sail date. There was a reminder to bring all of our original documents with us to the port.

I really appreciate this thread (and the OP who started it), and appreciate those who gave good information to help ease my worries. And for anyone else still "Pending Review", there's light at the end of the tunnel!
