Pending Email?

So, does anyone know what the pending email actually means? These are the things i'm hearing:

-Holy Crap I now have to wait till December!
-I've been rejected, theyre just holding out just in case.
-They don't actually mean December, they just don't know when they are going to get back to me
-They will get back to you within 3-5 weeks with a decision.

So which one is it? Anyone familiar with these emails?

and now it seems that everyone who was waitlisted yesterday, is back in progress today. (on the dashboard)

Is it a glitch?
They wouldnt put you back in progress to reject you would they??
it seems like everyone who didn't get to wait list yesterday, just got accepted today..

I was pending on my last CP. They just had to take extra time to review my info but I got accepted anyway in October. It wasn't a long wait at all.

I"m just so confused :/ lol.

I don't understand why if i am 'pending' that they would change my dashboard back to 'in progress'... surely they would just leave it at 'wait list' until they are actually going over my application again? So does that mean i will find out sooner??

This new system is so confusing

I also read on the FB page that someone called to ask and the recriuter said the 'pending' emails were never meant to go out, so idk whats up with THAT either..

If the pending emails were some kind of glitch, I think Disney would have said something about it. People have gotten accepted after pending, so I'd say just wait it out (Even if I am super disappointed I have to wait longer ;3; )

People have gotten accepted after pending in this program? Cause so far i havent heard of anyone getting an acceptance email after getting the pending email...

I don't know if it is affecting your application, but I know right now they over booked the College Program. So that may be the deal.

What do you mean by 'over booked' ? And where did you hear this?

What do you mean exactly by "pending"??? My daughter had her phone interview on Thursday and the person that interviewed her said she would know something in 2 to 3 weeks. Then she got an email the next day saying to check her online acct/ and her email.

They have more people than they should. Two people in the program told me. One had her hours cut.

May not be a big deal for you since you aren't there yet.

Some people (including me) got an email that said they are pending a final decision and we will find out by December 19th. So basically it just throws the '2 -3 weeks' thing out the window and we will find out within 3 months. which is complete torture.

I was actually telling my family (before i got the pending email) that i would rather be rejected than get 'pending' ... suprise suprise, i got pending.

No, i got one about 24 hours after my phone interview saying 'thank you for interviewing, you will hear back in 3-4 weeks.'
i got my pending notice 11 days after my interview.

OH THAT IS HORRIBLE. I am sorry. Why do they do that????? Can I ask you what roles you listed? Our dd applied last Jan. for this fall and didn't pass the web interview. She was devastated. So this time she was soooooooo nervous about everything but was THRILLED when she made it through the web interview. THEN she felt so good about how the phone interview went. I am now worried about her getting a pending. I am sooooo sorry this happened. Maybe it won't be that long. I don't understand why they do that.

I wonder the same thing. Getting a pending email absolutly doesn't mean that you are rejected, its just that you don't really have a timeline that you can look for the email anymore. & December 19th is so far away i want to rip my hair out!! lol. I checked off all roles for both parks except things that would require me to clean toilets (i just can't do that)
I'm glad she feels great about the phone interview!! I actually feel really bad about my interview, i think i came accross as a moron because i was so nervous :/
& i hope she doesn't get pending as well! Lots of people are getting accepted now so cross your fingers I would have rather been rejected tbh. lol. i don't think it will be until December, but i don't like not having a time frame that isn't the drop dead date

I sure hope you find out long before then. If this happens to my daughter what a mess it will be. She has to check out of her college dorm Dec. 19th through the 21st depending on when her finals are (not move out but check out with her RA) and can't go back until the last weekend in Jan. They have a longggggggggg winter break. That would be a MESS as far as her letting her school know about the CP and how she would need to move out and all. I hope she finds out sooner than later. UGH

I'm 95% sure that December 19th is disney's version of Murphy Time. It is much more likely that you will hear back in a few weeks, probably latest, a little after thanksgiving. And yeah, that does seem like a long time still, but look at it this way: They want to give everyone a fair chance, including those who applied a little later. They get thousands of applicants and can only go through them so quickly. It will take time. As inconvenient as it is, we have to be patient. For all we know, there could be a "disney spy" watching these forums to see how well people react to waiting. It's possible that someone could be denied just because they were very rude or excessively *****y about having to wait.
