Pelican Plunge refurb

I'm guessing no since there is an entire island with other stuff to do.

Was disappointed to see that the Pelican Plunge is being refurbed and closed 5/15-6/15:

Of course we will be there smack in the middle of that time. Would've spent a lot of time doing that with the kids.

Does DCL provide any concession because of the work being done?

I doubt it, they close attractions all the time in the parks. It just is what it is. I'm sorry you will miss it.
It will give you a reason to book another cruise now. ;)

Oooo! I wonder what they will do? Change it up a bit? Make it bigger?

My kids were just on the pelican plunge on our Magic cruise 2 weeks ago. They commented that it was very slippery and lots of algae on the stairs so maybe they are closing it for a good cleaning.

Aww. Well that's boring. LOL!

What a bummer. Our first DCL, I was excited for my kids. Seems like this may have made more sense in winter, rather than summer, but that's just me.

I told my son, "i have some bad news" and after telling him he said " atleast you didn't say no cruise. We'll still have fun".

Leave it to a 10 year old to put it in perspective!!!!

The problem with winter is that it isn't exactly a slow season for CC. Yes, weather can be a bit more iffy but there's still plenty of people getting in the water and there's more cruises stopping at CC since the Magic is back sailing out of PC or Miami. And do some of the Wonder cruises stop there as well? I thought some did. So there's potentially 4 ships stopping at CC during the winter versus only 2 in the summer.

I do love your DS's outlook on it!

That makes sense, I didn't think 4 ships vs 2 ships, I was just thinking weather!!

And thanks

There was a obstacle course structure in the water at the family beach. My kids loved that! They actually preferred that over Pelican Plunge. Just have your kids do it early as it closes when it's low tide. Enjoy!
