Hmmmm... that depends on your perspective...

I do find it funny that you would know and even remember this!! If I remember right, all the people on it were acting like morons, and that although funny, that particular episode wasn't a very typical episode.

Yes! For some reason they were all being idiots!

I remember all sorts of strange things. These things are taking up room in my brain where useful things could be, like people's names or my bar card number.

Construction....joy! We just finished clearing out the land behind our church and are now waiting on whatever paperwork it is the city has to do so we can start the next phase of our new building. It's exciting, but a bit overwhelming as well. Take it easy out there. You're in my prayers. Congrats on the 90 days! Speaking of expanding, I'm looking at the page count and thinking you're going to have to start a new thread before D-day arrives. Love the retro pics. Can't wait to see what wild adventures await this time around.

Thanks... I post here and there... probably more as it gets closer and based on my available time to be sucked into the DIS... ha ha ha. I post kid pix every now and then... I'll have to post some more when I have a chance. GirlNextDoor (our friend Kim) used to post from the last TR but she hasn't been on lately... busy busy. I don't let DH on 1) for fear he'll REALLY know how crazy we are and 2) goodness knows I don't need him getting addicted to yet another website on the computer. Ha ha ha.

The Amazing Race is my favorite show. My husband and I keep saying we are going to apply for it but we have never gotten it together to do so. After we almost killed each other driving through the Netherlands, Belgium and France on our honeymoon I'm not so sure it's a great idea anyway. I'm sure we'd be edited as "the fighting couple." (Which, our other choice is "the old couple" so maybe I should go with the fighting.)

Derek and I LOVE this show!!! I always joked that Jordan and I should go on it (we'd be "cousins") because Derek and I would probably kill each other having to go on that... ha ha ha ha ha (so we'd be the bickering couple - ha ha ) but I don't think J and I would have the stamina (or stomach) for some of those challenges... but if it was the "easy, old person, out of shape" version of AR, then we could do it... ha ha ha ha.

It's a pretty good season so far this year...

Derek and I LOVE this show!!! They should totally have a AR lite! I am liking this season so far, but haven't seen the last episode yet. I promised Tony I would wait and watch it with him so it will have to be tomorrow. Sunday night and last night we were watching football and Tuesdays he plays pool.

We LOVE AR too!!! I agree about the editing. Dh and I talked about what it would be like to be on that show but I agree, the bickering may do us in!

well, considering that i have to put $20/week back for my disney december 2010 fund and $40/week back for my baby fund, i just don't think it's possible. i have to prepare for a possible baby because i'm self-employed and don't have maternity leave, so when i don't work, i don't get paid. so i need to have a month's salary set aside for that. and on top of that my deductible is $2,500 so i need to have that ready to go, too. i know this sounds horrible but part of me wants to quit my job and get government assistance just so i can afford to have a baby!!!

congrats! that's awesome....you deserve it! we didn't get a raise this year but it's only because the economy is so crappy. usually in july the legislature raises our per diem, hourly takedown and page rates, but this year they left them alone.
