Are all your jobs 1099?

It sure seems like you do a lot more than what I'd consider a custodian!

Good morning! It's about a 2 million dollar addition to our church.

It's going to be a long day today. I'll probably get home tonight around 9-10pm. The money is just too good to pass up.

I slept about 5 hours last night. I think people must be thinking positive thoughts for me/praying for me because strangely I have energy this morning.
I can believe 3 months today I'll be at Animal Kingdom!

I can't wait to hang with all my DIS friends again.....

You need to sleep more than that, it's going to catch up with you! I'm so happy for you that so many friends will be there

I already had the swine flu so I'm good.

YIKES! But I guess that's good. Though there are many many other things that will take you down when you are run down.

I don't know if I should be proud or embarassed that I am pretty sure I know what country you live in now. The Amazing Race is my favorite show. My husband and I keep saying we are going to apply for it but we have never gotten it together to do so. After we almost killed each other driving through the Netherlands, Belgium and France on our honeymoon I'm not so sure it's a great idea anyway. I'm sure we'd be edited as "the fighting couple." (Which, our other choice is "the old couple" so maybe I should go with the fighting.)


But last night, I wasn't on because we had friends over to watch the Cowboys beat the Eagles and then it took me a while to clean up the kitchen. I don't get on the computer much on the weekend anyway.

Chapter 46. When life happens.

So....I've been busy the last 3 days. It hasn't been all church related....well...most of it has been, but not all of it.

I work as the Church Custodian which is considered my 2nd job as I'm 1099ed on my hours as custodian.

I just picked up a 3rd job with Wendy's MIL who is a Real Estate Agent. I used clean houses for her either when clients moved out or before they moved in. She is starting to get busy again and she used another company to clean and they were not good. So she checked with Wendy to see if I'm available. With my future at the church up in the air, I really need to start reestablishing some of my connections. I also need to start saving more money in case my hours get cut.

So, on Friday I worked both as the custodian and cleaned another house. Saturday, we had a young adult retreat during the day and a post camp rally. Oh and I've had to get to church at 6:30am because of construction.

So, yes I'm tired. Yes, I could get sick, but if I do at least I can say to my boss that I'm having to work 3 jobs to save money and if I get sick it's because I'm having to work so much....

So here are pictures of the start of construction at our church. We had to cut down 3 trees in front of church.

Dis meets

I'm very fortunate that during our trip in February other DISers, who I already know, will be there.

I feel like my trip has taken on added meaning as I will not only get to spend time with family, I will not only get to rest and relax, but now I will also get to meet and spend time with some DISers. Winkers, Blueyed and EnglishRosie were 3 of the original posters on my PTR in 07. They walked with me as I struggled to heal from the pain of 7 death of close family and friends that year. They were a source of comfort, laughter and friendship during those months leading up to the trip that year. I was fortunate enough to meet Blue and Rosie during that trip and Winkers...well, she was there in spirit..

When I planned this trip, none of them were going. It's only been in the last month, that one-by-one, that they've decided to go to WDW during February. I feel like it's divine intervention that's bringing us together. So I'm not taking our time together lightly. I will treasure each moment with them and count it as sacred time with friends.

Awww, you made me get all misty and stuff!! But for a good reason! I remember first signing on to your PTR. I had a lot of "stuff" going on that year too and it was such an awesome way to just leave it all behind for a few minutes....or sometimes hours each day leading up to our trip. I'm so glad we got to meet and the 3 of us can't wait to meet up with you, winkers, djay and rosie again. This is going to be so much fun. Plus an added bonus I get to meet Scott this time too. I totally agree with you that it seems as though this upcoming trip was molded together for all of us for a reason. I mean, come on....you remember all year I kept saying there was absolutely NO WAY we could make a trip work in February this year, and now look!! It is no mistake my friend.

I have been reading your TR and PTR and trying to keep up. Even if I don't post, please know I am still reading! I sort of read on the run now days. But now that our home remodel is pretty much finished, I am slowly getting more time. I am now trying to get my Christmas shopping done early so I don't get bombarded this year.

I said I wasn't going to do a PTR this time because I didn't think I would have the time to keep up with it. This is just so much fun and I'm just so excited about our trip and meet that I'm seriously thinking of starting one of my own. I need to put my binder together first, though!

I like it when a guy isn't afraid to get in touch with his emotions. You've got a great heart Jordie, I think that's the second thing I like bets about you, the first is that your still a child at heart. Just how God wants us....child like.

Hmmmm... that depends on your perspective...

I do find it funny that you would know and even remember this!! If I remember right, all the people on it were acting like morons, and that although funny, that particular episode wasn't a very typical episode.

Hehe! Thanks! It was fun to wear it. My pastor said his wife's hair at one point looked EXACTLY like that...and it wasn't a joke. Later, his daughter said the same thing to me.

So, speaking of bloopers... on the DCL website, if you go to the Disney Dream virtual tour, on deck 13, if you hover over "Currents" (the outlook bar), the description that comes up says "an outdoor bar, offering plenty of stool..."

hee hee hee hee not very appetizing... ha ha ha ha ha ha.

(ok, actually in re-reading it, the whole sentence reads: "plenty of stool, table and lounge seating..." so I guess grammatically the sentence makes sense, but maybe stool shouldn't have been first in the list...)

Jordan, I'm excited for you with the DIS meets, and finally meeting winkers!

All the work you have been doing sounds completely exhausting, but I don't think I would be able to pass up the $300, and make that connection again just in case...has anything been determined/decided there with your church job, or are you still in the dark on it?
