PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

We :lovestruc OKW. Olivia's makes a mean steak and The Gurgling Suitcase make a strong drink. They also play Jimmy Buffet on the buses; what more could a guy ask for? ;)

Yay we are up to date. I would stay on the waitlist for AKV-we are hoping to stay there in May. Hope the BBQ was yummy. Try not to work to hard this week. My BIL is a pastor so I know how consuming it can be.

We LOVE okw!!! But I'm sure you already knew that. :rotfl2: Everytime we plan to stay somewhere else we always end up there. We like the quietness and serenity of it. We sleep good there.

I think of you when I think of OKW...I know you like it and I know KathyRN likes it as well.

I will probably stay on the waitlist for AKV, but I think I'd rather stay at OKW for the kickback Key West Vibe. We'll see....

Anyhoo, I'm so unbelievably jealous that we can't go during February this year. DS started kindergarten and while some of your stay is during our 2 day mardi gras break from school (plus 2 days for the weekend), it still does not mesh with dh's work schedule. It is driving me NUTS!! I can't believe that we can't go again until June. :confused3 I have been needing to remind myself that we are very lucky that we can go at all and to stop whining!

I'm REALLY bummed that it def won't work out for Feb...:sad1: I truly enjoyed the short time we spent together and I know we're friends for life in contact or not:thumbsup2

You best be saving the June 2012 dates though!

All caught up I think!!!!:thumbsup2

If I go in Feb it will be the 4th thru 8th, prolly be at AllStars as that's where they usually put the Cheerladers !! All hinges on them winning the competion or placing high enuff to go !! anf I am not sure when that competetion is :confused3 If it is a GO,I will definately plan to meet up with all of you:banana::banana:I am not a drinker BUT 4 days with Cheerleaders could change that:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I can smoke with you though since my Uncle won't be around....;):rolleyes1

Yay for booking :cheer2:

I've read great things about OKW, but I would stay on the waitlist for AKV. Since AK is your favorite park, it would be so convenient for you.

As for the flights, I would wait and see if prices lower from LAX. Why lose park time if you don't have to? Does JetBlue fly from LAX to MCO? :lmao:

Hope you're having fun at the BBQ!

JetBlue does fly to MCO from LAX, but either through NY or BOSTON and it's expensive and the flights are long with long layovers....

That's good to know. I've been to Key West one Christmas and I loved the tropical feel....

It ended up being Roast Beef..It was awesome-Tender, medium rare....seasoned to perfection.

I am trying to manage my time better...we'll see though

Although it did make for a funny story I am glad to hear that you are trying to put that temptation behind you and go to a different resort. I know it will be hard but I am rooting for you and know you can do it. :thumbsup2 I'm not sure about the wait list thing. It would be nice to know for sure where you are going and to have the quiet surroundings after your time with everyone else but then again if AK is your favorite and your favorite places to eat are near there it might be a better choice. Anxious to find out what you decide and where you are staying. Thanks for the update.

I sent another email to Gene and I saw him at church on Sunday and he didn't say a word to me....:confused3. I am assuming that he's not going and he feels bad for jumping ship. I prefer to be on my own, but we'll see...

i hope he comes around and at least tells you what's up! i hate it when people do that sorta thing. it's like you're only making it worse by not talking to me....be a grown up! :confused3 not to bash your friend but that ticks me off that he's being mean to you!

i think you'd be happy at either resort, honestly. in my opinion OKW has a better location (but that's because i feel like AK is just so out in the middle of nowhere) but AKV has better decor and amenities at the resort. plus hopefully the maids at AKV don't swipe the guests' tinker bell necklaces!!!!! (if you don't know what i'm referring to, let me know and i'll fill you in.) of course i would think you wouldn't have to worry about that. ;)

The two choices are opposite, although I must say, I'm leaning towards OKW for the relaxation factor.....

Gene is a good guy, but probably doesn't want to let me down. I'm emailing him sometime this week....It's frustrating for sure, but I'll live.

I do know what you're talking about regarding OKW. I knew you'd have some opinion.;)

We'll see.

If you want to see some more pix from the trip, here's our website:

Very enjoyable!! Thank you for sharing all the great pictures!! Your children are just adorable and seem like great little people!!

After Feb 2010, none.:confused3

I met a new guy at church and he's really into Disney. He might be interested in going in 2011, but because it'll be a 3 week trip in 2012 for me (1week WDW, 1 week DCL and 4 days solo at WDW) I may to start saving now for that trip....we'll see....Oct is actually pretty slow at work.

What about a DisneyLAND meet? I haven't been there since 2005 for the 50th birthday and I'm feeling homesick! Might be a less expensive (for you) alternative!!:goodvibes What do you think Rosie? Game for a disneyland trip??

50 is the new 20 according to my weekend in AZ..;)
:lmao:

BUT 4 days with Cheerleaders could change that:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2::scared1: Actually Rosie, I was the cheerleading coach for my daughters squad when she was in 8th grade. We competed at Great America, in CA. Even though this cracked me up, it may be closer to the truth than you realize!!

Jordan I'll place my vote for keeping the wait list. Four words...night time animal viewing!!! Well a couple more... sanaa, Jiko, Boma and Mara!!!

I'm in. Very late to the party and can never hope to truly get caught up so am going to just run iwht it from your 9/7 post :) I've lurked before but have always been overwhelmed by the page numbers but...I'm caving!

$477 out of orange county? OUCH!

Last year I watched them like a hawk and they dropped considerably in late Nov/Dec for that same timeframe. We ended up getting them for $208 out of Seattle. Not sure if you can wait, it's stressful, but oh so worth it!

Whew! I go away for a weekend and you accumulate like 10 pages worth of posts! I was cracking up at the AZ story. Glad you made it through relatively unscathed and have taken it as a learning experience! Kudos to Wendy for calling an intervention! AND for changing your ressies so as not to be an enabler. :littleangel: The plan updates sound great. I hope you get luck with the AKV reservations!

I would love to stay a OKW... Our DME bus stopped there on out last trip and I wanted to get off and go inside! Even the parking lot was nice! :thumbsup2

But AKV......Can you book OKW and stay on the waitlist for AKV, just in case? Sorry, I'm not up on how DVC works :rolleyes1

So I mentioned your birthday trip 2012 to DBF...he sounded like he might possibly be interested.... It might be just a mini trip for us but we'll see!

:welcome:

With 5 months still to go, there's a LONG way to go on this PTR. You're not late

Waiting is not my strong suit when it comes to my vacation.

I am down whenever for a DL meet. However, work is crazy so it's hard to get time off to meet up.

Yeah, I'll probably keep the waitlist for now.

I'm glad it's behind me that's all I'm gonna say..;)

I'm finding now that I really need to sleep and relax more. So OKW fits right into that scheme.

Yes, I am currently on the waitlist at AKV with guaranteed ressies at OKW.

2012:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Disneyland Hmmmmm !!!! Have to think on that!!!!

I live with 2 cheerleaders :scared1: A whole squad is gonna be :scared1::scared1::sad2::sad2: Thank goodnes their coach runs a tight ship !!:worship:

Yeah for set plans...(well sort of...;)Pop always looks like such fun...and I have never heard a bad thing said about OKW either...I applaud this new and "matured" Jordan...although I'm assuming that the kiddos will miss you-assuming they don't have to "pour" you into bed...:lmao:

AKV is pretty nice if you decide on that too...We walked over from Jambo House...and I really liked it...a lot...the lobby is scaled down but still impressive...really awesome savanna and Sanaa is fabulous...it feels even more relaxed than Jambo-I could definitely see spending time at the pool there with a drink in one hand and a good book...oh but you don't do that anymore...the drink part I mean...;)

(not to be an enabler or anything like that...:rolleyes1)

Hmm maybe Eandesmom would consider a disneyland trip...;)

We could all take over HoJo's!!:thumbsup2
