PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

holy bejeezus! why have i not found you on here before?! just stumbled across this pre trippie and you had me LOL'ing...seriously! I'm in! :)

Now time to go catch up on your old trippies.

Oh...and can I tell you how I LOVE LOVE LOVE DISers that are really organized and post chapter links on their first page?! <3 Makes it so much easier. My brain would have exploded if I had to read all 32 pages!

Hey we will also need a "Flush" rating crew !!!:rotfl2:
herie you also have some memorable candid shots in Epcot !! I recall Lessa and I discussing a certain fountain!!!:rotfl2: Or was it Urinal:lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I like the idea of the pic in front of chinese laundry. I can't wait until this trip. I can't believe it's 3 YEARS AWAY!!

Which cruise are you thinking of going on? Eastern...which one? Western?

Eastern for sure. I'd love to do one with a different itinerary like St Croix or Tortola, but I'm not picky. I think the new ships will be online then so booking early will be important.

Do you really want to make that statement here?

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:welcome:Be prepared to be reading for awhile!!!

I like the links as I realize not everyone is into the chatter and some don't have the time...ergo the links...I love them too......

Welcome aboard.

Chapter 10. 2010, 2012 and China all rolled into one.

2010

I've been looking at the current menus for WDW and I'm going out on a limb and making a few early predictions about dining locations for our Feb 2010 trip. Mark this and see how many of these make the final cut:

Table Service/Buffet

Jiko (one of my fave WDW restaurants)
ESPN Club (I'll be staying with guys remember)
Prime Time (pot roast, need i say more)
Kouzzina? (replacing Spoodles)
Tusker House

Some others to think about: Cal Grill, Le Cellier (I havent eaten there in 8 years), Chefs de France, Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia, Coral Reef, Flying Fish, Ohana, Kona Cafe, the Wave.

Did I just name every TS restaurant?

Counter Service

Flame Tree (a perennial favorite)
Columbia Harbour House (love the upstairs seating)
Sunshine Seasons (variety, variety and dessert counter)
Wolfgang Express (I've heard both good and bad, but I'm willing to roll the dice)
Electric Umbrella (food,meh...upstairs eating...a tradition)

Some others to think about: Cosmic Ray's, Pizzafari, Backlot Express, Tangierine Cafe.

Of course alot of where we end up eating also depends on what Dining Plan we choose IF we get one.....

2012
I was a bit overwhelmed by the positive response to my invitation!!! I know it's a long way off and things will most certainly evolve, but it's cool to think about all of us romping through WDW and the DCL creating havoc and mayhem wherever we go...;)

I also have to repeat myself here when I say that had it not been for the multiple deaths in 2007 in my family, I would never would have started posting on the DIS. I would've never met you guys.......

Okay.......many of you say it's a long way off til 2012, but let's look at it this way...

My PTR will go until Feb 2010....
Then my TR will start....
If I remain true to form, my TR will last til May of 2011.
By that time Peep Fest planning will probably be starting to go full force!!!!!
Then June 2012 will be here before you know it.:thumbsup2

China 2009

So...here's day 2 of my Beijing portion of my trip to China:

we woke up and decided to go to the Temple of Heaven which is located in this Central Park size park. We grab the subway and a few transfers later we are there:

First thing I notice.....Jeri Curls are REALLY in style with the women in China....sooo Eriq La Salle in Coming to America (let's see if anyone remembers that one):

aww, Jordan I am behing. I am up on all the chapters, but not on posts! Did anyone else notice his license plate-BFG- that is a book that is too cute! Jordan is the BFG-look it up! I sure hope it is still Big Friendly Giant!!! I think it is a Dahl kids book.

I have to admit that i was a binder girl- but my iTouch and all the cool Disney apps have proven perfect for our next trip. Plus I am a sucker for tech.

I would totally love to do that cruise thingy with ya'll.
But we need to do a short one 1st to make sure we can all handle it:laughing:.

DH and I are hitting 40 this year and have NO plans yet. But with our westward move to Houston, we have been pre-occupied, but not enough to prevent me from making my September ADR's!

I don't know if I could go all digital with my planning...but one of the guys I'm going with is totally into computers as part of his job and he is an iSheep (apple lover). So I bet we will be going more PDAish....

ADRs done!!!!:thumbsup2

I was very afraid of cruising, but did fine. We've travelled with someone who gets extremely sea sick and with the Patch, she was fine.

for counter service meals...have you tried earl of sandwich or wolf gang pucks express at DTD?? I loved the earl of sandwich and have heard really good reviews of wgp express.
I'm in the same boat...I know where I want to stay and eat but I am holding off sending all of that info to my family until 2010 rate codes come out. They like disney but are not obessed planning like we are here on these boards. I was showing my parents all the clothes and swim shorts i have gotten for Caleb soo far and I think they thought i might be a little nuts and of course they were all Disney! Though it was my mom who suggested matching t-shirts and it was me who said NO!!! She thought it would be easy to reconigize all the members of our party and I said thats what cell phones are for!! I can tell you we are not a matching t-shirt type of family!

I'm pretty sure you've done Earl of Sandwich before - a definite favorite of mine. But, we loved our food at Wolfgang Puck Express on this last trip. :thumbsup2

And yes! I remember Coming to America!! I even saw it at the theater. :rotfl:

Do you think when the Peeps with Jeri-curl get off of a couch, they leave grease spots?!:lmao: I LOVE that movie!!!

Amazing shots of both China Pavilions... can't believe how alike they are.. but not surprised!

Power fist for white folks!

Have a great day, Jordan!

I have marked June 2012 as tentative. WOO HOO!

I can't believe how similar the China pics are to WDW's version. Very neat.

Yes, you did just name every TS restaurant in WDW! :lmao: I want to try Jiko soon -- I wish, in retrospect, we had made a reservation for it when we stayed at AKL.

Oh, how I remember Eriq La Salle in Coming to America! :lmao: And Will Ferrell in Old School! I always think of that scene when I see ribbon dancers!

The similarities between the Epcot version and the real version are uncanny! Once again the Imagineers outdid themselves!

Great pictures! The one with the guy carrying the green flag, the first thought I had was,"Oh,No. Brazilion Tour Group!" :rotfl:
Isn't it funny how everything goes back to Disney and our experiences there?

Did you mention Sanaa?! I'm definitely going to go eat over there once I go on a WDW without THE MOST PICKY EATER EVERRRR! :) I want to go for the marathon weekend in January but yet again...I will be with a different very picky eater! Why cant we all just enjoy some yummy food?!

Chuckled with the white peeps pics..haha! Beautiful China pics!

LOL. Thanks for the power fist! Too bad there's not a power fist smiley to include here.

I love the photo of the heels. That was one of the things I noticed when I went to Japan. There were girls wearing stiletto boots hiking on the cobblestone stairs around Kiyomizu-dera. I felt very frumpy in comparison.
