Chapter 91. Not one, but 2 drunks.

So when I last left you...I was alone at DTD headed back to Pop....

I got back to Pop and immediately went to take a nap....it was about 4:30pm.....I woke up at 7pm....

That's the beauty of being on your own especially after being with others for a week....doing what you want, when you want==taking a nap undisturbed....
Heaven for sure.

At around 7pm, I walked over to Everything Pop for dinner. I had a dilemma. I had 4 CS credits and 6 snack credits left....

I ended up getting 2 meals...a flatbread pizza....gee what a surprise...something else that I don't remember...I also got some fruit, some water and some dessert with the snack credits I had left.

After dinner I took my snacks back to the room and just kinda hung out, again no pressure to go anywhere or do anything. I was thinking of going to DTD again, but felt like just hanging out.

SOOOO....off to Petals, the pool bar. My favorite bartender, Dee, was working and I pulled up a stool and proceeded to drink a few beers.

I had the "pleasure" of meeting a gentleman from the UK. He was actually very nice albeit a bit drunk already by the time I got there. We proceeded to talk about the differences between the US and the UK....Then he started talking about things of a guy/girl type of nature....and that's when he started showing us his tatoos..ALL OVER HIS BODY! Legs, back, arms...behind. They weren't normal tatoos either. I can't even mention what they were of. I'll just say I've never seen that type of thing being done and I hope I never do.

Dee and I were just laughing at this guy and kinda scared at the same time. Then for more comic relief a REALLY drunk guy from MN comes by and I couldn't even make out what he was saying other than that he was from MN and it was his last night there. He did pull out a bottle of his own vodka which he took a swig of...that's right folks..VODKA...STRAIGHT...FROM THE BOTTLE....

The pool bar closed and I talked to the UK drunk for a bit longer and then walked back to my room wondering how in the world did I get so lucky this trip with so many drunks........

Does that mean that the start of a PTR is not too far away???

I AM making it up...I really didn't think anyone would read anymore..so I did it more for my enjoyment.....

I have a trip journal that i wrote notes in....it wasn't thorough just enough to prompt my memory.....

Whether or not the drunks incident really happened, it sure was hilarious -- especially the guy with the tattoos!

I'm gonna try and answer posts one at a time now. I'm almost done so there's no chance that I'll hit the 250 pages again.....no need to conserve....

The tattoo guy was funny..we kept egging him on to show his the one on his bum....I wish we hadn't....

He was actually really, really nice.

Chapter 92. Tuesday, February 12. Day 13. The last full day in one post.

In an effort to finish this TR off...15 months after it was started, I am doing day 13 in a nutshell.

Not much really happened as the trip was winding down.

I had decided to go to AK.

I set my alarm for 7:30am....................

This is what time I actually woke up:

That's right 11:44am. I own that time as a man who now has no agenda. I took my time getting ready and made my way over to AK.

It looked like rain but who cares...not me.

I was greeted by this as I walked up the left hand side of the Oasis...

The vacation was ending just as it had started..with some goodmojo.

I went over to Africa and oops...here's where all the people were!

I went over and got a FP for KS.

I then went over and had my last ride on EE. As I am walking over, I start noticing things that I probably normally wouldn't

What details and hidden things to do at AK!

After EE, I went to see Finding Nemo--my favorite show. Restroom break.
Great restroom when there's not a show, not so great when there is...a triple flush for water on the floor and a bit of smelliness.

I took a walk over to Dinoland and just sat on a bench for a few minutes I noticed more things I had never seen before...like this billboard.

I walked back towards Africa stopping by the Maharajah Jungle Trek on the way. Not many animals out as it had started to sprinkle. I thought there would be more animals out with the cooler temps...no mojo.

I was getting hungry, having already eaten at both Yak and Yeti and Flame Tree. I decided to eat at Pizzafari. It was empty. Restaurant mojo.

I had an Italian Sandwich and some warm breadsticks.

As I ate my lunch in slience, I had the chance to look around. I was truly overwhelmed by the detail that had gone into making this restaurant. Something I probably would've missed had I been there with a big group.

I mean look at the chairs! Hats off to Disney!

No trip to a restaurant is complete without a trip to the restroom. The restrooms at Pizzafari have an entrance through the restaurant and one on the outside.

Eh.....quiet, but a bit dirty. Towels and water on floor--a triple flush for me.

I went over to KS. It was by far the fewest animals I had ever seen. Maybe the steady, light rain had something to do with it. As I head out of Africa and out of the park. I was greeted by my last peeps sighting at the AK for this trip:

I don't know what was going on but on the way out I had to make one more pit stop. I hit the restrooms. I love clean restrooms. It might've helped that there was a custodian cleaning! No one in there, clean--a single flush for sure.

I took some last pictures realizing this would be my last time here. I got a bit teary eyed.

I don't why I got the mojo on this trip, but as I got on the bus back to Pop, it started pouring! This is what greeted me as I got off the bus!

I was thinking I would head over to DHS for the Evening Magic Hours, but it was raining.....the room was warm.....my bed was calling.....NAP TIME!

According to my trip journal, I slept from 5:30pm-8pm. This after waking up near noon.

I got up and went to Everything Pop. I got a sloppy joe AND nachos...

I contemplated going to DTD for my last night. I knew Matt wasn't working at ESPN so that was not an option. It was still raining on and off pretty hard.
So I decided just to hang out at Petals...it was quiet as it was raining. So my last night was quiet. After Petals closed I walked along Hourglass Lake one last time reflecting on a great vacation. I went to sleep around 1:30am....

Next up: The road home.
