Great pics of CRT! I agree about the weapons. I dodged and ducked numerous times during our breakfast to avoid being whacked with DS's sword! I made him put it down when a princess started getting close to our table.

I too am bummed CRT is only characters now. I like a character meal, but the food there isn't worth it at all anymore. KC & I went there on our honeymoon for dinner, it seemed the most romantic place to eat our first night (back when I wasn't armed with all this disney knowledge) and now we can't go abck and relive it. Oh well.

She's 2 now and LOVES Cinderella aka "Lala" and she had a smile ear to ear when I was reading the installment and showing her the pictures. She also loves Bow yite aka Snow White but Lala better.

Great update, Jordan! I love how Wendy & Derek were able to spend alone time with each of their children during the trip - I hope we're able to do that during our trip too

I hear you on the non-existent sagacity of giving children weapons in a restaurant We've promised our boys that they can get the build your own light sabres at Downtown Disney - but there's no way those suckers are being taken to a restaurant, that's just beggin' for trouble

I'm sure glad all of you are OK and suffered no ill effects from that quake. You and we are all on the San Andreas Fault - one of my biggest fears, that's for sure!

Bite your tongue!!! I still have too much to do. Hee hee hee. Fortunately, baby is cooperating and I'm only 1cm so I think I'll make it through the week.

Wendy that is too funny about the jalapeno dip. The very first time I felt DS kick was after I ate some spicy buffalo wings when we were in Houston one time. Being a first time mom I wasn't sure if I'd felt him move yet because I had never felt any of the "flutters" and wasn't sure what was him moving and what was just bubbles or something. Well, this day he just right out KICKED me! I jumped out of the chair I was lounging in and freaked DH out. He was all...."what happened??...are you ok??" I told him and he busted out laughing at me. He said "where were you running to? It's not like you can get away from him!!"

That is the best story... yeah, it's interesting the first time you feel stuff like that. It's like the alien in your belly. But that cracks me up that you were running away. Ha ha ha.

One of my favorite summers as a kid was spent at a church horse camp.

So, was this a camp for Christian horses? Hee hee, sorry, couldn't resist. "Church horse camp" cracked me up.

We went to CRT for lunch on our honeymoon (11 years ago) and it wasn't a character meal. I've never taken my girls there. We went to the princess breakfast at the Norway pavilion in Epcot back in 2005, did 1900 Park Faire in 2007 and we're doing Norway again in October. Of course, DH decided that he didn't need to eat with the princesses, so he's skipping it. But I'll be taking lots and lots of pictures. DD4 doesn't really remember the last time...

Wendy, Derek and Erin had a great time. Although there is not ONE picture of the 3 of them...

You'll have a great time I'm sure--a great girls time alone.

When me and DH went to CRT for Bfast in Jan of this year, our Cinderella was a picture nazi! She was saying: hands here, turn here, ok, thank you... next, hands here... while we were waiting in line I was watching in amazement. I wonder about the amount of people that girl takes pictures with each day! She was trying to keep her voice sweet but she was kind of losing it already and we were at the 8:15 seating!
Yeah, the wands were being used as beating clubs at the table of 4 children and 2 adults next to us. I rememeber that much! Woohoo fun for them!

I could never be a face character and actually I could never be a face character as there aren't any Asian Disney Characters except those from Mulan.

I never saw said weapon..so Wendy must've done a good job hiding it.

Wands for the girls swords for the boys the servers have to be very careful. Erin looks adorable with Cinderella. We really enjoyed our dinner at CRT and it's only sort of a character meal.

Maybe I would go with Erin next time.

We have 2 of those wands still here at home. And they pretty much are the "weapon" of choice. My girls use them as wands, microphones and bats.

Who knew they would be multi-functional

Wendy says its at her house somewhere again probably at the bottom of the toy chest. Dylan would probably use it as weapon before Erin......probably.

Erin did have a great time.

I don't do character meals in general. That's not to say that I haven't done them in the past. It's a great way to see the characters all at once. I just like my meals to be more relaxing. Character meals generally are not relaxing.

You know Kat, there's been a big stink about LTT taking away their Character Dinner. It's seems like the entertainment department is being asked to reduce their budget by 2-3%. However, in the case of LTT, I think the reasoning was 2 fold. One reduce the budget, but also to give guests more non Character TS options at the MK. I might consider TS at the MK again. Tony's and the Plaza are good, but it's nice to have that 3rd option.

She'll love CRT. Make sure you book at the 180 day mark for best times...
