Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

Tornados are scary! We get the warnings from time to time here especially with hurricanes. I totally understand just watching from a window. While Hurricane Andrew was blowing through here we sat outside on the porch, in the middle of the night, in the dark (power had gone out) and watched. Very surreal. Gustav hit during the day and much harder so we watched from inside. Our safe spot is in my walk in closet.

I like your Tuesday plan better, looks like you'll have time to meet up with us and Elizabeth.

I'm a morning person. So I'll be up early. I'm sure somewhere around day 3 or 4 it will hit us and we'll have to slow down and sleep in.

Earthquakes are scary, but after a big one, usually there are so many aftershocks, I just rollover and go back to sleep if it happens late at night or early in the morning.

The Whittier earthquake was scary.
I don't mind early mornings, but the time change catches up to me eventually.

If you look at my itinerary, I took your WISE advice and on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I don't have a park scheduled.

The red eyes out of LAX were the same price as a day flight and if you caught it on a good day, sometimes cheaper....

We didn't have any aftershocks but no one knew what to do. Do we stand here and wait? Should we get under something? It was wierd.

Friday wasn't so bad, really the only thing we almost missed out on was Soarin' but that was due to 11am park arrival as much as anything.

Monday was pretty darn crowded. Not as bad as Sat/Sun but still. Hard to say on Tuesday as we were not in the parks much but it seemed better. Wednesday was still pretty full but again...we arrived late so..who really know!

EMH :thumbsup2

I really hope that's the case for our flights, right now the cheapest is $347 and that's with 2 stops via Air Tran. We'd lose the entire day. BLEH.

I never thought of the closet...I don't think I'd fit in any of our closets.

I kinda had meeting up with you guys in mind as well. It was a win-win for me.

I may just be going to sleep when you're getting up...;)

But that's what vacations are for. We'll be coming in on your down time, the second half of your trip. I'm sure Wendy, the kids, Winkers, Blue and Rosie will have you running around during the first part.

I don't think we'd fare much better knowing what to do here in socal.

I'm glad you've been our guinea pig!

I guess I'll be sticking with my resort hopping on Sunday....

This year Mardi Gras/Presidents week/NYC winter break all fall the 14-20th....could be brutal.

I hope I'm relaxed and rested by the time you get there. I may be glazed over...

After cleaning up reverse puppy hurl off my kitchen floor with bleach and venting the dog food stink out, I'm happy to have spent the last 25 minutes reading the 10 pages I missed since last night. :lmao:

glad you haven't been sucked out to Oz!!

If you need the extra sleep on the morning end of your days, take it!! You can't burn the candles at both ends. Take it from a fellow night owl!

yuck...reverse puppy hurl can't be good! Are you keeping them in the house ?

NO, but it's -20 C out, so we bring them in about 3 times a day to give them a warm up and feed them. It's just so cold out they can't go out of their doggy house for exercise AT ALL. Poor little things.

why do I have a vision of Rosie and I turned into Lucy and Ethel?
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

They used to have an attraction where American Idol is now called Superstar Television where they picked people to recreate famous scenes from TV shows. One of the scenes was the Lucy and Ethel scene at the candy factory...soooo funny. Wendy was actually chosen and did a great job.

:lmao: We have seasons 1 and 2 and just watched that candy one the other day. Last night we watched the one where they crashed Ricky's baby shower that Fred threw for him. Those 2 crack me up!!

poor puppies....but puppy clean up duty...not fun...

I guess I shouldn't complain so much about the bad weather when it's still only in the 50's during the day.

I'm infamous for burning the candle on both ends....it's not something that can be done so well at 47, almost 48....
