Do you have a pedometer that you love, if so please tell me what kind it is. I have an older model made by Weight Watchers and I really do not like it at all, sometimes it counts too many steps and sometimes it doesn't log the proper amount. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Mine is an Omron HJ-112 Digital Pedometer and I am very happy with it. It is about $20 at Amazon. It has several special features -- it is designed to work if carried in your purse, as well as on your belt. I have tried this, and it seems to work fairly well. (Of course, this may vary depending on how you carry your purse, etc.) It also tells you how many of your steps were "aerobic" -- that is, were part of an exercise sessions where you walked at a rate of 60 steps per minute or more for at least 10 minutes. It resets automatically at midnight, but lets you review your last 7 days of data.

I have had other (cheaper) pedometers before, but this one is a keeper! I highly recommend it.

I have an omrom also and when I use it I like it. I went to use it the other day to find I need to replace the battery, so I will have to do that.

Thanks for the information. I never heard of that brand, but will definitely look into it.

Another vote for the Omron too - way better than the cheap, unreliable one I had before.

My favourite features:-

  1. The seven day memory
  2. The health management software
  3. The tracking of the aerobic minutes

Thanks for the information. I never heard of that brand, but will definitely look into it.
Omron also makes blood pressure monitors and similar home health equipment. I have a blood pressure monitor from them, which works better than earlier ones I had. Primarily, though, they seem to make car parts and equipment for automated factories. My husband, who is an electrical engineer, was very surprised that Omron made things for sale directly to consumers; he was used to them making heavy-duty stuff for factories. Maybe they've just started getting into the home health market; I'm not sure. :confused3 Their products seem to be good quality, though.
