Peco Bills or Cosmic Rays for lunch?

Peco's Bill has always been a favorite of mine for lunch. We usually hit Cosmic Rays for dinner.

We have eaten at Cosmic Rays on several occasions and have only had one minor issue: we didn't realize that during certain times of day or certain times of year or whatever that they change the menu so when we got out tray, it was NOTHING that we thought we ordered. But they were quick to rectify the situation and made us what we wanted.

We ate at Peco's Bill's once and the food tasted dry like it was sitting under a heat lamp or something for a looong time.

I picked cosmic rays because of all the choices. There is something for everyone there!

DH loves the burgers, I love the wraps and kids love the chicken and fries

Which do you prefer?

And why?

We liked both CS meals, but Cosmic Rays pulls out ahead! The "show" was cute, it was AC, the food was good (combo meal was a deal), it was very clean, had a larger seating area, and seemed bigger (there was breathing room) and brighter!

Personally, we prefer Pecos Bill's. The food is very siimlar at each, and it is true that there are more choices at Cosmic Ray's...but Pecos has more atmosphere. Cosmic Ray's makes sense if you are on that side of the park, and want a view of the castle, otherwise it is very school cafeteria in theme. If you go to Pecos Bill's, keep in mind there is more seating around the other side (at least when El Pirata y el Perico is not open, which is often, outside of high season). Eating outside at either is often a fight with hungry birds, so avoid that.

We spent a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom during our recent visit so we were able to eat lunch at both places. We really liked them both! I had the chicken wrap at Pecos Bills which was HUGE! When my husband brought it to the table I couldn't believe how big it was. My dad loves grilled onions on his burgers so he was really happy with the freshly made ones at the toppings bar. At Cosmic Rays I had the chicken and ribs combo which I thought was very good! As others have mentioned, I felt the only real downside of Cosmic Rays is how you have to order the food. My husband ended up getting the chicken and rib combo simply because he didn't feel like standing in two lines. He ended up being happy with his choice, but he might have gotten something else had the ordering process been different. My recommendation is to do try to do both depending on your park plans.

Pecos Bills....love the fixin's bar. The peanut butter brownies were YUMMY..wish they would come back. I really like the choices too.

I like Cosmic Rays due to the variety but our favorite quick service in MK is Columbia Harbor House.

Pecos Bills for us! I swear their is just something different about their burgers!

The atmosphere seems a little bit LESS hectic too! We love Pecos Bills! Yummy!

Haven't been to Comic Rays but we did not have the best experience at Pecos Bills last year. It was soooooooooooo crowded. And we went in October. Once we got our food, my husband and I walked around w/ our trays for about 10 minutes through the crowd, (while trying to keep our little kiddos from getting trampled). We could not find a place to sit. Finally we found a small table just outside, which was such luck. Many people would take their trays outside and sit on railing in the heat to eat. Yuck. I just couldn't believe it was that over crowded and it wasn't even a peak time of year. I'm sure it was a peak time of day. This year we'll do our best to avoid noon time at CS. But because of our experience last year we will probably avoid Pecos Bills.

I prefer Pecos for nostalgic reasons. I've only eaten at Cosmis Rays once last trip and it just wasn't the same. Pecos Bill's has been a staple in a MK visit since I was a kid.
