Pearls in Japan

Does anyone know the price of the pearls in Japan? we did this last time, and I can not remember the price. I thought I might get another pearl this time!

When we went in April they were around $13 each. We have really enjoyed doing this. Myself & my DD have each ended up with "twins" DD even got a blue pearl. It is beautiful. Eventually we are going to get them set into settings, but to date we haven't done that.

Are you guaranteed to get a pearl in your oyster?

Yes, you are. It has also been suggested to pick the" ugliest" oyster. Don't know what is considered ugly. We did this and got a larger than usual pink pearl. One that made her hit the gong!

Do you experienced pearl pickers! remember the approximate price of the settings? My DD wants to do this this summer and I think it sounds like a great souvenier instead of the junk, which we avoid. She Did the princess charms last time but is much older this trip. Thanks in advance.

I did this last week when I was there and the cost was $13.99 plus tax. I got a beautiful pink pearl and had it set in a simple go setting. The setting was $79.00. the chain is a separate cost. All of my souveniers from this trip came from Japan!! I have been wearing my pearl all week and have gotten a lot of comments on it. I am going to do it again when we return at Christmas
