PE Virgin Is Is Any Good?

I am hoping after booking a double package of premium economy is worth it. Please tell me it is. I have argued with myself all morning before booking it.

Double Package? do you mean you have booked PE for both of your planned trips?

Yep both ways. They had no economy seats left. I am just hoping its worth it. I have selected my seat. By the looks of it I am up stairs.

I think it is, Michelle, as I haven't travelled long-haul economy since 2000. I have a dodgy back so need to be comfortable and really appreciate the extra space (and peace) you get in PE - esp. upstairs. The welcome glass of champagne always goes down a treat too...

It is SOOOO much better than Economy. And sitting upstairs is the way to go. Enjoy it....you won't want to go back to Economy afterwards though!

Everyone I know who flies PE says that its head and shoulders above economy.

You get;
dedicated check in line
priority boarding
small intimate cabin
glass of champagne or orange juice (or bucks fizz) on seating
bigger seats, 38 inch seat pitch
Newspaper
a dedicated PE ameinity kit
different menu to economy
food served on china, liqueurs after the meal and fresh fruit
first off the plane.
150% of the flying club miles for the journey

Form 2008, you will also get the upgraded PE seats as they get fitted to the 747's

You are only a few feet from Upper Class, that will be your next move

If your budget permits it is worth the money, we flew home PE last year and have booked both ways next year.
It does add to the cost of an already expensive holiday, I am sure for many they would rather have the $ spending money instead.

They are rolling out improved seating in PE I understand too , plus whilst we sat downstairs last time I believe it's much better upstairs and certainly more private.

My brother goes PE everytime, unless he gets his regular upgrade to business.
He would not go Economy, I am totally the opposite I get sat in Economy and sleep like a baby until they wake we at other end, easily sleep for 7 hours on a 8 hour flight.

Would love to Obi. Dh doesnt like spending extra on flights. I think its only because I am flying on my own that I am going PE and that the fact no economy seats were left. Loving the idea of flying upgraded though. I keep looking at VA website today. Sad aye!

Yes it is worth it. Particularly the way Virgin do it -( BA: I do not think the difference to economy is worth it.)

Your main problem will be that once you have tried it - it is very hard to go back to economy.
