......if there are rooms in the 80's building at PC that face the lake? Has anyone stayed in such a room...if so what room #'s would they be? on what level? Did u like the room?
We would like to request 2 rooms, non-smoking, dbl beds, adjoining rooms...what # do I call? or fax?
I know ...a lot of ???, but time is drawing near!!!!

Im looking at my PC map. And from the looks of it the 80-90's buildings are in the section with the least view of the lake. The 50's, 60's and 70's areas all have rooms closer to the lake. if you want the 80's with a view of the lake, you might get a view on the way to or from your room and in a few rooms you might be able to see it past the green, depending on the landscaping.

Based on my experience with rooms requests, decide which is more important to you and ask for that: either 80's or lakeside.

stacy6552,
After looking at the map more closely...I see your point. I
guess I would go for:

70's
building "A" or 6
facing the lake

Anybody stay in this building facing the lake before? Am I making a good choice?

Also when should I fax over my request... and do I fax it to PC or somewhere else? I thought I read somewhere on the boards that faxes end up in the garbage. Maybe a phone call would be better? I think I'm driving myself :crazy:Maybe I should just leave it alone and we just get what we get!?

Before my late April stay at Pop, I faxed in my request, and got exactly what I wanted. 70's building, lake view (kind of sideways!), top floor. However, lake view is ok if you plan to be in your room alot. If not, I would pick another room that is closer to the parking. It seemed to take us forever coming and going, especially with 2-2yo's. The view was nice, but not worth it.

Have fun! ::yes::

i LOVED my lake view room. I'm looking up my trip reports to find the room #.

But we were in the 70s on the 3rd floor open the door and there's the lake. It was great because it was peaceful and a tad secluded. I liked that. Although I LOVED the resort for the icons and the activity, I wanted the peacefulness also. Ok.. found my trip report..

We were in rm 6322 (it was a king), but the rooms on that hallway are GREAT!

This was an enjoyable location. I also know there were some 50s with the same sort of view.

Good luck!

catherines_mama,

Thanks for sharing...I so appreciate it. I will send a fax , however, would you happen to know what the fax # is? Is it PC's fax, because if it is, I have that. We arrive on July 2nd. How many days before should I fax?
Thanks again....and your "princess" is a cutie pie!

you can also call the main reservation # to make your requests. I'd do that,,esp. for the non smoking and connecting room requests. Then,,fax the resort 3-4 days before you arrive. Or just ask them upon check in. But i'd definately call the reservation # about the most important ones. We stayed there in March,,requested n/s connecting rooms in the 50's bldg. We got the n/s and connecting,,but they put us in the 80's bldg, which was just fine. The rooms don't have balconies,,so the view wasn't really an issue.(we weren't going to be able to sit out and enjoy the view,,so it wasn't a biggie w/us.) I don't know the fax #,,it should be on the back of your confirmation,i think? or ask at the POP faq thread,,its there somewhere i think.

good luck we arrive at POP 4 days after you do...I'm hoping for 70's building too..though not lake view.

we faced the lake..but the whole time we were there we were wishing they would close in the lake and make it a parking lot..ugh..the parking nightmare.

the lake is very nice though if you have that view.

Its all relative. I didn't find parking a headache. but we loved Disney Transpo and didn't worry about the car. We left the luggage w/ Luggage assist and had them pick it up after our stay. I did break the rules and park in the 80s/90s lot far far corner (nobody else there) b/c the quick walk along the lake was quick and easy.
