I have 2 kids 9 and 12 who love a great pool and slide. Which of these 2 resorts have the best pool?? thanks... the resorts both sound great. I might make up my mind by which has the better pool..... thanks...amy

I think RPH's pool is the most fun, but PBH's is the nicest-looking one.

Where can I find descriptions of the pools? Barry - can you elaborate on what makes RPH's pool more fun? My kids are the same age, and pools are very important to them! TIA

You can visit these sites and see some great pool pictures of all 3 hotels!

I have stayed at both with kids and to be honest they love both Portofino and Hard Rocks pool! I like Portofino's pools better, they have 3. The slide is cooler at Hard Rock but faster at Portofino. (So my kids say) I tried them both and had great fun on both.

Overall the atmosphere's are very different at Hard Rock and Portofino. Pool's included. Portofino is quieter and more luxurious. Hard Rock is just way cool! A unique experience.

Good Luck! :)

Found some descriptions for you:)

Hard Rock

"Orlando's largest pool with underwater audio system. The pool is "zero
entry", which means you can walk into the pool vs. stepping down stairs to get in. The slide is 260 feet long, there's sand and a volleyball court next to the pool. There's an extra large chess game, game room, pool table and ping pong table located in the pool area. "

They also offered a "dive in" movie in the pool on weekend. Check to see if they are still offering this.

Portofino

The Beach Pool has a roman aquaduct slide, a zero entry (walk in vs. step in) and is the most popular of the pools. There's sand along the pool, the Splendido Pizzeria, and a game room which makes it perfect for families. The Villa Pool is a large pool near the bocci ball court, a hot and a
cold plunge, a changing room and is surrounded by cabanas and several lounge chairs.
The Hillside Pool is smaller and the quietest of the 3 pools, in a more remote area. There is a changing room at this pool.

Royal Pacific
The Lagoon Pool features zero entry with a deck and a sand beach. There's an interactive play area, a children's wading pool, two whirlpools and three cabanas. The Lagoon Pool is nearly 12,000 square feet and is the largest pool in the City of Orlando.

*note- Royal Pacific doesnt not have a slide.

I like PBH's pools the best. The ambiance is so nice at PBH's beach pool. The little kids can play in the kiddie pool & pirate ship. The pool slide is awesonme! And there is much more room then at HRH's pool so it doesn't seem as crowded & you can always find a chair. If you choose the Villa pool you will be relxed in cushioned chairs, relaxing music and floats in the water.
My kids love the play area at RPH. They also have a pool table, ping pong, water volleyball & basketball. A sand volleyball and a sandcastle play area with the kiddie pool. Srvice IMH is the best of all three resorts here.
