:goodvibes I posted this on the Park forum last night. Perhaps it should be on this one!

Hi folks...been a while since my last post...3 years! But now I'm about to book for last week July/1st week Aug 05. Yahoo!!!!!! Last stopped at PBH in 02, I hope it'll be as good this year.

I need 2 rooms & one will definately be a Deluxe Queen but am unsure about the second. As this will be for just 2, logic says go for the King, but not if this means a smaller room. So, my questions are:
1. Is a deluxe queen bigger than a deluxe king?
2. What is the difference in room furniture between the two?
3.If I went for one of each, would I still be able to get them on the same floor & fairly close together?
4. Is a deluxe bay view better than villa view?
5.What's new at the hotel since we were there last?

I have spoken to central reservations twice (calling from England!) & have asked these questions but the answers are vague & not consistent so I thaught folks who have actually slept in both will give more reliable answers.

I still can't believe we'll be there in 4.5 months time!!! :teeth:
Thanks for your help.

I went for two Deluxe Queens in the end, after calling the PBH front desk.
The person I spoke to was very helpful & gave me the following info:
- Queens & Kings are identical in floor area.
- King bed is 15cm wider than queen.
- Not all Kings have a sofa & all other furniture is same in both.
- Deluxe rooms are in Villa wing with views of either beach or villa pool.

Reservations told me they will not be doing Entertainment rate in 2005.

Hope this helps others in their room planning.

Thanks for the info, Englishman - my Std view was upgraded to deluxe (2 Q) for October - did they tell you if any of the 2 Q deluxe rooms had sofa beds ?- I know I've seen pics of some that don't - I had assumed that they were the same as HRH deluxes, if my DS (16) comes he doesn't like to share a bed with anyone.

Go for the Deluxe for the big bathroom!!!!!!!!

I had a deluxe king was was really happy, especially with the bathroom. Wow. No closed off toilet or shower area like the Contemporay Resort or Grand Floridian, but the walk-in shower and large, two sink vanity was great. The room size was nice, but there was no sofa - just a table with some chairs. The bay view should be lovely, but I got a pool view and since we were hardly in the room during the daytime, I couldn't have cared less. If I ever get back, a deluxe king is the way to go.

I don't think there are sofa beds in any of the 2q in PBH. There was a small twin size one in out king deluxe but not the queen.
