We got one of the PIN codes for reduced stays in August so we (2 adults 2 teenagers ) decided to book a room.

HRH was sold out and RPH wasn't far behind, so that left PBH. We've stayed at RPH once about 6 years ago. We would have loved HRH, but we do have some time for the teens to explore that area.

We decided to get Club Level room- not only for the size of the room, but the Club Level amenities. We've never done Club before, so it sounds interesting.

Since our teens are boy/girl we also requested the 2 queen room with the sleeper sofa- and the kids can swap off bed/couch.

Here are my questions:

1) I see that PBH could have club rooms all over the place. Since we requested the sleeper sofa- would that mean that we have a room out in the nether regions of "Italy"?-or does it mean closer?

2) Should I request a specific room or area? We want to be close to the club area as well as walking paths and or boat launch- is that even realistic?

3) Is the walk from PBH to IOA really horrific? What would be an approximate time? I have looked at youtube POV views and it doesn't look too bad. I am talking the actual path

4) How long of a walk from PBH to HRH? If my teens decide to go to the HRH pool from PBH, how long would that take?

5) Are there any specific hidden gems in PBH that we should explore?

1) They try to keep all Club guests in the Villas section of the resort. But technically you can be anywhere.Club loung is on lobby level which is 3rd floor.
2) We requested to be close to the lounge.Wewere in the villas section 5th floor with a few of the pool and themeparks in the distance.itwas 2 floors up, but really no big deal to us to get to the lounge
3-4) depending how fast you work it is a 10-15 min stroll..It is NOT bad at all.Very pretty ,scenic path along the water. It is well lit at night.HRH is not that far so it would take maybe 6 mins( again depending on how fast you walk) but HRh is the first thing you come to on the path. Each resort has its own boat, but it takes time to dock, load, depart etc.We BEAT the boat to the parks many times.
5) It is a BEAUTIFUL resort. We love sitting outside listening to the opera singers perform on the balcony over the piazza at dusk.mama Dellas restaurant is fabulous food and for a quick bite the pizza at Sals Marketplace is good. The Main pool is lots of fun.The lighthouse slide is great. There are also bocce ball courts near the villa pool which are nice for a family game at night.

Thanks for taking the time to ask and answer these question. We too are doing club at pbr this August for first time. We have stayed at hard rock club previous visits.

Thanks .. would requesting the two Queen rooms, plus Sleeper sofa AND close to lounge be too difficult?

The sleeper sofa is more important than the close to lounge. Close to lounge would be ideal-- but if this means that the requested room is far- I'd rather walk and then have the sleeper sofa.

I don't see why you couldn't request those things.List them in order of importance.Like I said they try to keep club level in the villas section which is not all that horribly far to the boat dock/walking path or club lounge.Even the West wing rooms are close .East wing rooms can be pretty far out.Just also be aware that ALL universal hotels are Pet friendly.Which means that if you have any allergies whatsoever to pets, you might also want to request a NON-pet room

I've been onsite before (RPH) so I knew about the pet policy. We thought about taking our own dog with us, but changed our minds.

I just didn't want to say sleeper sofa, close to lounge and wind up in a room by the Citywalk parking garage!

With a pin code out I'm just thinking about the likelihood of getting an East room (in the very off chance). Pin codes are out for stay from Aug 19-24

Is the PIN code rate better than the stay more rate? Just curious???? We got one a couple of years ago but it was during a time when we couldn't go :( Haven't got one since

i received a pin code for the first time 2 weeks ago. (first time every i have recieved the private code)
i did the math for my dates and the pin code was better than the smsm promo.

it has dates til the end of this year for the pin but has black out dates.

i'm not using it as even though it is a great discount, i would have to rearrange my rates again.....again....again.....

i have a combination of using the AP and the SMSM for this years booking.
only changed it around twice and that was enough for me to deal with.
