Can anyone tell what your payments are like for dvc? I hear everyone say that its like a mortgage. Just wondering if I can do it?

We have 150 SSR points & 75 BWV points both currently financed through Disney....

Our payment for SSR (including dues) is just a hair under $200. Our payment for BWV (including dues) is $just about 100....

I Hope This Helps! :sunny:

We have 200 points at SS. we put 1900 down-Disney took 2000 off-so now with monthly payments and dues it's under 300 a month.

We have 200 pts. at BWV and it comes to about $250 a month..including dues. For 10 years total, but hopefully we'll be paying ours off within a year or so.

for how many years?

It is mortgage portion is probably for 10 years. The dues portion is yearly maintenance fee divided by 12.

Disney finances for 1, 3, 5 and 10 years. The interest depends on term and whether you electronically debt your payments.

I believe that 1 year term is 50% down and 4.95 APR with electronic payment. The 3, 5 and 10 terms are 10% down and 9.75 with electonic payment. Add 1 % for non-electronic payment any of the term lengths.

So unless you going for 1 year term, its does not matter which length you pick. Plus there is no penalty for paying early.

exellent descriptions pkgman!

We did our original contract at 1yr and then we're doing an add-on for the 10 years, hoping to pay it off early, but not having to.

To add to my orginal post, you can either pay yearly dues in 12 equal monthly payments or once yearly. :scratchin

Call and ask for the information packet. They'll send you some papers with figures for different point amounts. They'll give you payment figures for different options (including maintenance fees, direct debit, length of loan, etc.) This helped us decide just how many points we could afford right now and how long to finance for. Now I could easily have used more points for our vacations, but we can only do what we can afford!
