I was just wandering if anyone has ever had to ask for an extension on their account? I thought I would have had my W-2s by now, but now my work is telling me that they are gonna wait until the very last possible day. Please help me because the lady from Disney told me they couldn't do it, but when I made the reservation the lady told me they could. PLEASE HELP!!!:sad2:

I have heard where if you make a partial payment on your 45 day mark, that you can get a another day or two to pay off. I've also heard about folks swapping a package to a room only, then once they get their money (in your case, your refund) they swap back to a package and pay it off. Be sure and do the room only swap BEFORE your 45 day mark to avoid fees. Often Disney won't charge a fee to swap to a more expensive deal, so inside your 45 day window you may be okay to add the tics & dining back on the ressie.

Hi last summer I had a similar issue. I needed an extra 5 days to pay the pkg off and they were agreeable.....I don't know your circumstances but...

1) I booked through AAA so I don't know if there is some leeway given to them
2) I only had about $800 left to pay on a $3000 pkg

The travel agent told me at the time that as long as I was paid by the 30 day mark I was ok...but she also said that I had paid so much of it off they wouldn't cancel me....hope that helps:)

If they have ample warning, they can give you 2-3 weeks, easily.

Some CM's are better than others. Th second CM may not have kown all the policies. I can certianly speka to gettign different answers to the same questions form different CM's.

Teh changing to room only may work - but you may loose your current discount inthe process. On the other hand you may be able to apply a different discount. Liek before they offered the pay4 get 7 discount ( about 43% off deluxes) but more recently they offered a 40% off deluxes and 30% off mods discount. The 43% was better, but the differenc is not all that much.

I woudl certainly ay you should all back and see what they will do- and perhaps pay what you can comfortably pay.

Do you have a package with dining booked?
If so you can drop the dining (reducing the amount due at 45 days). If you are able pay that amount off now, you can then go back and add the dining on a week before you leave(which of course you will have to pay in full when you call.

Last year, we had something come up right before our due date and we needed to wait until 2 weeks after the date to pay off our trip. Disney noted it on our account and we had no problems. I was nervous about it so we did call every few days just to be sure all was fine. :goodvibes

Depending on whether you have a package, and the amount that you still owe, I would drop everyone's tickets on the package to the minimum -- a one day pass. This could save you a significant amount of money and is easily upgraded upon check-in.

Just call them. If you don't get a helpful person, call back.

In 2008 we reserved a package WITHIN the 45 day mark. When I called I told them we were planning on paying for it when we got our tax refund. They extended the deadline for us... no problems.

I made reservations for May 8 arrival during the first week of April. I did have to make a deposit within two weeks, but didn't have to pay the balance until April 19. Well, I called on the 18th and gave them my debit card number and then it wouldn't let them take the full amount out because of spending limits. So... They took a chunk then and told me to call back the next day to pay more until it was paid in full. Basically, it wasn't paid in full until April 23.

They CAN help you out. Just keep trying until you get someone who will. :thumbsup2
