Paying with multiple dining plans/reservations

We are a group of 9. (4 people, 5 people and 2 people)

We have a reservation at Tusker House in November for 9. Two groups of us are staying on property the other group is not.

Do we tell them we are paying separately before or after the meal? We are going to use our extra dining credits to pay for the guests who are not staying on property. But the other group will use their dining credits to pay for their meals. Also is there a way they can split the 18% tip equally over the two bills?

To be more precise, the automatic gratuity will be added to each bill, because it's based on table party size, not number of people on the check. You are, of course, always free to add to that if you wish to tip higher.

We had a group of 13 in September. 5+5+4. We would just tell the waiter which people went on each bill and they would split it up. We were all charged the 18% gratuity due to the size of our group. You may want to double-check the bills before signing to make sure the right people got on the right bills.
