Paying with CC online

I just went to parts.com to buy a part for my car. I cant remember the last time i was asked for the security code on the back of the card for an online purchase..Is this normal, or am I losin it?

Its very common to use the security code nowadays.

Very normal. Oh, and for any company that has my CC info saved (like say my gas & electric bill that I pay online) they usually ask me to verify the security code on the back.

CC companies are requiring them for online and phone orders for just about all purchases now. It's supposed to prove that the person placing the order has the acctual credit card in hand.
