Paying Off Disney Bill, Help Me Get The Most For My Money

About to pay off my Disney bill of 2800 and unfortunately the balance is due 3 days before my company bonus is deposited and that is what is paying for the trip! No worries, plenty of room on my cc to pay now and payoff cc....

I have 3 cc, 1 disney visa (not premier)
1 Chase Freedom
1 NFCU card

All have 1% cash back.... thoughts on how to get the most for my money? Would have preferred target 5%, but I don't have cash readily available...

Since you've got a Disney trip planned, why not use your Disney Visa for the rewards? You can turn that into 'cash' at Disney with the rewards card.

You should call Disney and explain the situation. I was in a similar situation a few years ago and had no problem getting a 3 day extention for payment. When I mentioned to the CM that I didn't think this would be allowed, she laughed, saying "That wouldn't be very Disney-like".

I would not call Disney to ask for an extension. You know you will have the money to pay off the credit card--use one and get the extra $28. I would probably choose the Disney one since you do have a trip planned. Or if there is any chance you will not pay it off immediately, choose the one with the lowest rate. Or choose the one that already has the largest amount of rewards accumulated so you can cash it in without having to charge more.

This is what I'd do unless, for some reason, you don't think you'd get your bonus before the bill is due.

I will probably go with disney visa....we leave on 3/28, so no worries about getting the reward dollars on time.... nobody has seen any discount gift cards, right? I know about target, but anything I can use my credit card with?

Also if your Disney trip is a package, and you put it on your Disney visa, it qualifies for 0% for 6 months. Just in case there's some delay with your income. If it's a room-only reservation, it doesn't qualify.

I definitely wouldn't call Disney. One person might say sure we'll extend, then the computer see it's overdue and cancels, then you'll be making phone calls trying to straighten it out. Sounds like a PITA.

At Target, you can get 3 $50 Disney cards for $142.50, with a Target Red credit or debit card. For those not wanting to pay the membership fees at Sams.

Why not upgrade your Disney Visa to Premier? You will get $50 in bonus points with your first purchase, and you will get $56 for paying for the trip with it.

Disney shows as travel so if any of them give bonus for travel us that one!
