Can you pay with credit card for a yourride towncar when they drop you off? (or, is it better to pay with cash? do you get a receipt?) I assume you pay on your first leg, do you do this before you leave the airport, or when you get to your destination? Do you charge the total with gratuity, or give the gratuity seperate? And, I assume you give a gratuity each way?

Thanks! ;)

When we used Yourride, we paid cash for the first leg plus tip. We did use them for a rt to DC and that was charged plus a tip in cash. Return to MCO was in cash plus tip.

So, all in all, I would think cash or credit. Everything was paid on arrival at the resort or at the airport.

My thoughts on Yourride....the best!! Have a wonderful trip Cali.

We used yourride on 8/23 and paid with credit card. He gave me the receipt to sign and there was a place for a tip if needed.

However, we gave him a tip in cash. He did charge for the roundtrip on the first leg. We then tipped him again when we went back to the airport and he seemed genuinely surprised, which surprised me.

Can someone give me the website address or telephone number. Thanks.

We don't carry much cash on us, anytime, as a general rule.
When we used YourRide in May, we had Jim. He said he couldn't accept debit/credit cards.
We paid cash when he dropped us off at the resort. (We told him we could also pay him in Disney Dollars. ;) )
I asked rabbitz about this when I booked for October, just to prepare and carry extra cash on us if needed.
He replied Jim was very new at that time and just wasn't aware that cards could be used. But he told me they do accept them.

Yourride's website indicates that they accept credit cards. However, upon making a reservation, the email said that they prefer cash. When I inquired about when to make payment and that we would like to use a credit card, to see if it was necessary to give the credit card number in advance, the response was 'we prefer cash'. It seems that others have paid Yourride with credit card, but has anyone done it recently? Has their policy changed?
Thanks!

Both times we used yourride we did used a credit card but we tip in cash. They just say they prefer cash. Tony

The main reason they prefer cash is that they get to keep an extra 3-4% of the total bill when it is paid in cash. All merchants that accept credit cards must pay that as a transaction processing fee to the card companies.

By preferring cash for a $100 tab, the companies get to keep an extra $3-$4 per trip. That adds up to quite a lot of money in the long run.

I paid for my four leg limo trip with Jim through Yourride last August in advance by credit card. We still tipped Jim on each leg in cash, but I didn't want to be bothered witht he rest of it.

We've used Yourride twice since I made this post, and both times we ended up paying in cash, so I'm not sure about the credit card situation. The e-mail confirmation I got from Rabbit did say that they preferred cash.

I just called Your Ride with all my questions. They were very helpful. I asked about the credit card thing, the guy, said they do not have a secure line through there website, so when making the reservation, state that you would like to pay with a cc & have them call you & give them your cc info. He also said he will not charge your cc until closer to your travel date, incase your plans change. I think we are goign with yourride.com. Thanks for all the helpful information.

I usually tip $15.00 going anf $15.00 on pickup.

I appreciate the responses about the credit card. So, if I am understanding this correctly, the only way to use a credit card on Yourride is to give them the number by phone prior to your trip? This is what I was trying to ask Rabbit in the email, when to give my credit card and his response was 'we prefer cash'.

I have read a lot of good feedback about Yourride, although I am at the point that I feel like if I know I want to use a credit card that I should just make a reservation with a different towncar service. I guess either that or call Yourride by phone to tell them I want to give them my credit card number for our reservation.
