Well, I've booked, got my ADRs in, paid the deposit and am starting on my planning. So I was wondering if there was any way to pay the room off in advance, or make payments to it up until our check in date. This is the most I've ever paid for a resort and I feel uncomfortable paying all that at once or putting it on the credit card. It's not a huge issue if I can't do this, but it'd be great if I could. I booked through Disney's website, by the way. If I hadn't would there be another booking service (such as AAA) that would be able to do it?

Thank you!!

I'm sure this can be done, but I'm not sure of the process for ressies made through the web site. We've done it in the past, but with a reservation made via telephone. We just sent payments in by mail with a copy of the reservation slip.

Hi there, good question! :)

Go to Disney's website and click on the section for My Disney Vacation. Log in to see your confirmation sheet, and you can make payments from there Or, you can call the main Disney number and make payments over the phone. :goodvibes

25 trips, I always pay in full before arrival. I have used Checks, credit cards. And if I have booked full price, and then allpy discount, I just have them keep it in my "account" so I can use it as my spending on my room key! I will be doing this in Aug!!

We leave in 6 days :cool1:  :yay: and we paid off the room only reservation by credit card last month. We then got a confirming reservation email with my payment, which happened to be the balance, as I had only paid the room deposit. The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to request confirmation or they will not send it to you. Happy planning!

Room only reservations made online that have a confirmation number starting with an "R" can not be paid ahead of time. The final payment must be made at check-in. If you want to pay off this type of reservation, you must call CRO to see if they can re-book your room only over the phone with a 12 digit confirmation number - then you will be able to apply payments to your room reservation, prior to arrival.

Exactly what I was going to say. From now on I am booking through CRO so I can pay off my trip in advance. I'll just use the website to get pricing and check availability.

go to your bank and purchase a mastercard gift card and "load" it with your payments. Then when you get to the resort, use that to pay for your room. That way, you are pre-paying. I have a direct deposit done to a special savings account. I have a debit MC for that account, and take it with me to pay for vacation. That way I'm also getting interest on my "pre-payment", only if it's only a few dollars a month.

you need to be careful with these!!!! I did this, last week, and guess what? It said that you cannot use for Airline reservations or hotel and no car rentals, I had to return them to CVS, and I am so lucky they took them back!!!.
Just for my trip, so I can save it. At CVS and Wal-mart has them to. They are called www.greendotonline.com. They are GREAT! It is a prepaid care that comes in your name and you can load it with "Money Packs" from the same stores. and it is available RIGHT away!!!!

I have been using one all week for my trip, being I do not want to use my Credit Cards! I like to pay cash. so far this week I have loaded over $1000 bucks. and you can keep track of it on-line and they give me daily or weekly updates via text message what my balance is!
LOVE them! GREAT, when you do not want to use your CC!

We booked our package in 2007 thru CRO, but made payments online and had our entire trip paid for before we arrived. it was great!

I wouldn't use the prepaid Mastercard....just use Disney Gift cards and load that up. When you check in, give them your card - you will have credit on your account and then you can charge to your room. Simple.

I always pay off my room with my Dis Visa so I can us the points while on vacation!

You can pay in advance for packages. Ours is paid in full for our Sept trip :)

Thank you guys for the feedback!! :cool1:

So I guess tomorrow I'll get on the phone with CRO.

For future reference, is the only way to book with CRO through telephone? Also (I probably should have asked this before booking) is there anyway to book a vacation package and still apply the Floridian ticket discount on the package?

It's interesting that you can't make payments for room only, but I can kind of understand it. Is the CRO number just the reservations number (407-939-6244)?

Thank you guys so much!! :cutie:

i do as cindy'smom said: disney gift cards.
put $'s on it every few weeks or so, & use it at check-in (& the balance to pay for everything else we buy :rolleyes1 ).
no huge CC bill to come home to.

Looking into the details of the Disney gift card, I really like that idea. Is it really that easy to update? I also like the idea of putting some spending money on it as well.

Our Disney rooms are paid in full for December. They have been paid for a little over 2 months....

Feels good to start putting money aside for spending! Getting very excited!

I booked and put the entire package trip on my Disney Visa with 0% for 6 months. However now I have been taking any extra money and paying off the visa. I will have my trip paid in full before we even pack!!!! It feels great!!!!

I signed up at SR and having been doing surveys and paid clicks for the past month and a half. I have $175 so far with a goal of $300 by mid August. I will then cash out on Disney gift card and use the $300 for the extra things we want but normally would never buy. Drinks, appetizers, toys. It is just free money and takes up time.

Cash is king and being debt free is the new status symbol! Pay off your tip before you arrive and have a great time.

I never pay off our travel packages w/ Disney until the 45 day mark when it is due.

I pay myself over time into our savings account and that way we get the interest on the money ...not Disney.

We just got a Disney Visa so I paid it off w/ that just this weekend for our July trip!

We also want to have the money to pay off the trip before going. Nothing worse than paying for something you don't have in hand. What we do is keep the money in an online savings account for the interest free portion, of course we make the minimum pmts, but we earn interest on the money, have zero interest for 6 months and pay in full when the promo is up. Just a thought to make a little money while you can!
