Does anyone here pay their dues with gift cards? I'm thinking of canceling my auto payment from my checking and paying with gift cards if its not too much of a hassle. Do you pay monthly? Yearly?

You have to pay dues at the beginning of the year unless you set up the auto debit from your checking account which is taken out monthly. You can use gift cards but you must combine them ahead of time if you have a bunch of small denominations and pay the full amount at the beginning of the year.
edited to add-if you are on auto debit I assume if you want to cancel you will be required to pay the full amount of dues remaining for the year at the same time you terminate the auto debit.

I have paid with gift cards these last two years... Saving at least 5%. You do have to pay all at once, and combine the cards (via Disneygiftcards.com) but I don't mind!

I also pay off my hotel balance via gift cards. Another 5% score! Thank you magic bands for room charges :)

I call member services in early december and use gift cards to pay a portion of next years bill. It gives me a credit when they do the billing so when they calculate the monthly payment it is less.

I saved over $800 on my MF by purchasing discounted Target gift cards on Raise dot com for 5% - 7% off face value and then used those gift cards to purchase Disney gift cards online through Target. I used my Target store card as a default payment to trigger the additional 5% off and then switched the payment to the Target gift cards I brought through Raise. I loaded the Disney gift cards on to the Disney Vacation savings account and paid nearly $7,800 in annual dues with the DVA which will get me an additional $140 in Disney gift cards since you get a $20 gift card for every $1000 you spend through the DVA. A decent savings and now I need to decide for next year's dues if I get a better value by earning 5 airline miles per dollar for buying Disney gift cards or saving over $800 out of pocket :teacher: Decisions, decisions ...

Thanks. I am doing something similar. Right now I'm saving for next years big trip but once I've done that I want to save on dues. Even if it's just the 5%, that's a TS meal somewhere .
