Pay with MagicBand

Does anyone have info about using MagicBands to pay for food/merch in the parks when staying at Fort Wilderness? It gets billed back to your room, i.e. the campsite, right? Is there a limit?

I think ours was just charged back to the credit card the resort had on file, then they emailed a breakdown of charges to DH the last day. I did get a voice message a day or two before we left indicating they'd slide a receipt under our door before 8 or use the email they had on file.

Yep, like Ratatosk said, charging privileges are linked once you have a credit card on file. You can link one before you leave home on your My Disney Experience profile - you will also select a PIN to use when making purchases. I think they default the limit to $500 if memory serves correctly. If you're on a campsite they just email you the closing paperwork on your last morning. It is so slick, we loved having it!

We've always found the front desk more than happy to raise the limit.

The limit is $1000 since the campground is considered in the moderate category for charging. You can always have the front desk raise your limit also.
Every couple of days I'd go to the window by the marina and use gift cards to pay off the balance.

You can set up charging privileges and a pin # at check in. On my first purchase it asked me for a pin # and I had a mild freeze moment as I didn't set one up. So I tired using the pin from last years trip and it excepted it.

As for credit limit, I believe it is set to your credit card limit. My Visa limit is 3,000 and that is what I was allowed to charge up to at FW.

And if you don't want your kids charging like i do, just make your band the primary one, with one pin. I love my kids but dd would go a little nuts with it!

Do they charge the card right away or do they keep a balance and charge at the end of the stay? Just wondering if we could pay down our balance everyday w/ Disney Gift Cards instead of it actually being charged.
