Pay for Vacation Extra's with Disney Rewards?

I know you can pay for your hotel with Disney Reward Points, but has anyone tried to use them to book a dessert party? Or rent a cabana (Like at Beach Club or Typhoon Lagoon)? I know things like that usually require a credit card; however, I was curious if I could use my Disney Rewards card since I have money to use there?

Otherwise, I can just use my points towards the vacation package. However, I was paying for that though Disney Gift Cards since I get 4% off the card's value at BJs.

You should be able to. I have purchased party tickets and tours using mine!

I have not used my rewards points for a cabana, but I have used them to book both dessert parties and after-hours parties.
