Pay for sitting up front in the monorail?

Do you have to pay for sitting up front in the monorail next to the driver? I though it was for free and you just had to ask? Look at e-bay, it's #2173729358 . I wrote the seller:

'This really is a stupid auction for a thing you can get for free.'

I know, I could have said it in a friendlier way, but here's the reply:

'Your ignorant comment has been fowarded to the abuse department at eBay. They place a mark on your account for sending abusive e-mails to other members.
And, you mental giant you, the monorail drivers can't officially let you in the cab without a voucher pass. This info direct from Walt Disney World Travel company. Try getting a voucher on your own for "free". Good luck. Check your facts before sending stupid, ignorant, childish e-mails next time and why not get a life while you're at it. Really, is your life that empty and pathetic you have to spend your time sending stupidity via e-mail?

I contacted e-bay and the buyer as well. What do you think about it?

It's ridiculous! It sounds like he described himself in his reply.
You do not pay to sit up front next to the driver. All you have to do is ask.
I do not know about this, I'm just guessing that maybe some Disney packages might have a voucher to help promote the package ??? Don't know Just a guess. Never heard of the voucher.

Are we allowed to email the buyer? I don't want to get in trouble but $25 is unbelievable for something that is free! It still has a day to go. Maybe we should all contact ebay and the seller.

This reminds of when someone was selling their PS to CRT!!!

I'm trying to find a phone number for ebay and I am going to call them on this person because of his scamming. I know that there isn't such a pass since I know a couple of monorail piolets.

Found a form to send in it looks like somebody else reported the same item. I hope that poor person doesn't get scammed.

I emailed the seller and the buyer and I tried to find the right email to notify Ebay but couldn't find it??

I know the seller's gonna get mad and maybe report me but I felt I had to do something.

I'm going to send an email to Ebay too. I have done it before about deadbeats. Not in a long time, but the email address used to be in the Safe Harbor section.

I also emailed ebay....and I sent a request to the seller asking him to scan 'the voucher' and email to me...that should prove interesting! .... I wonder if he's got a co-pilot licence from the monorail?? Some people!

A couple of days ago I emailed the seller for more detailed info. I got two very insulting replies. I filed a fraud complaint with ebay then, and they replied they already had another complaint and it was under investigation. I had to put the seller (a female) on my blocked list.

Boy oh boy I hope she starts sending me some hurrasing messages. I would love to get somebody booted from their ISP for harrasment. I will send them her messages and let them know that she is a fraud and selling counterfit products to unsuspecting guests.

Goofyposter, I was wondering the same thing. I asked her if she was selling a co-piolets license as this front seat pass. I also told the person that bid on the pass that she was selling them a fake pass and not pay the person.

I have ridden up front at least three times. I just patiently wait until the front is available. I never heard of a voucher.

When this same thing was happening with (free) CRT breakfast PS', that's when Disney started using cc for PS'.

It has been a awhile ago, and I found since it's not something that should be done -- a seller had some (nice) pins selling for three times the amount they would cost to buy them over an internet pin site.
I e-mailed the *losers* and let them know where they could buy the same pin for $3.
Now I don't know you can access bidder's e-mails without being the seller. Can you?

I just got a response from the seller...which reads:

I don't have a digital camera, but here is exactly what it says on the voucher I got from the Walt Disney World Travel Company in my package. I never got a chance to use it, so I'm selling it:

You get to sit in the front car with the driver! It's a great chance to get terrific pictures/video of the Disney world grounds going from parks to resorts and vice versa without having anyone's head in the way. Thanks for your interest.

I'm glad you all agree with me. I felt bad after receiving the sellers mail. I guess it's hard to trust sellers with only 1 positive feedback. In the meantime a second person has bid. I've replied the seller again saying she's the one abusing people. If you e-mail her, I don't think e-bay will put a mark on your account or whatever. I think e-bay knows the truth by now and I sure hope that seller has learned her lesson. Have warned both buyers as well. Thanks!

Ugggh.... Such a horrible thing. Ruining the Magic... that should be illegal... lol... I've emailed eBay, the seller, and the two bidders. I used to work in Monorails for a year and a half before I transferred to Bus Operations, so I made sure to let them know I had expertise on the topic. I also gave them 407-WDW-RIDE, the Transportation Information line.

Received two emails from the seller. She is not a nice person!!!
Told me my comments were ignorant, then stated that if there were 50 people waiting for the monorail ride that the one with the voucher would go first. I told her it was not nice to scam people and that I had reported her auction and that if she contacted me again I would report her to her ISP (if I can figure out how, LOL) and to ebay.
I really don't like people who take advantage of others.

Yeah, I'll bet you are. Well, since you're a "Disney employee", why don't you check with the Walt Disney World Travel company? I bought my package from them and this front seat rider pass was included in the package I bought from them. So, I'll contact the WDWTC and give them your name and e-mail and let them know that you, as an employee, are telling everyone the elements in the package they sell are a scam, OK?
By the way, your comment is being forwarded to the eBay abuse department. Keep your opinions to yourself. And again, I'll let the Disney company have your name and e-mail and let them know you're telling guests that package elements they sell are a scam.

Is it at all possible that such a voucher was part of some premium travel package during the 100 Years of Magic celebration? Of course, even if it was part of a package, the 100 Years of Magic is over. So if this was ever a package perk, it should have been used during the vacation that was part of the package. And to "sell" a voucher as a separate "perk" that any WDW guest can do for free, if they are willing to wait their turn, is just plain wrong.

If the seller truly has this thing, it would be much more honest to sell it as a collectors item (IMO), since obviously, a limited number would have been printed. After all, some people sell old WDW and Disneyland paper napkins and drink cups.
