Hello, we were planning on going to disney in mid May, we were thinking about to staying at Boardwalk Villa's but grandparents gave us a free week at the Marriott Sabal Palms. They Own a 2bdrm timeshare. Id love to stay onsite but BV would cost 2300 just for room and Sabal Palms is free. should I save the money and go to Sabal Palms or Live it up a stay onsite?:confused3

wouldn't be a question for me....Sabal Palms hands down. As a Marriott it will be first class; and its close to WDW. The extra room makes it possible to get some separation...which is good from time to time. Especially if you don't always arise or retire simulataneously. The $2300 would be icing on the cake. We stay on site at times and off site at times, and the way we do WDW there's not that much difference.:cool2:

I'd live it up at the Marriott!

Post a review later.

herc.

I've done on and off site, and prefer onsite. HOWEVER, if offsite at a nice place with more and close to the World and FREE, I'd stay offsite.

$2300 can but a lot of magic, pixie dust Dole Whips, School Bread, and Turley Legs!!;)

I would definitely save the money and stay offsite in a FREE 2 BR timeshare. I've stayed at the BWV and in 2 BR offsite units - and I would not turn down a FREE weeks stay offsite.

With the money you are saving, you can definitely splurge and go somewhere wonderful for dinner - every night!

I own at Boardwalk but wouldn't hesitate accepting a free week at Sabal Palms. It is a very nice resort. The units will probably be larger than 2 bedrooms at BV, which are really a 1 bdrm + a studio lockoff.

My sister owns at Marriott Cypress Harbor and stayed at Sabal once about 3-4 years ago. I'm pretty sure that both Sabal and Royal Palm guests can use the main pool at the main building (Marriott Orlando World Center) which is very nice (slide, water falls, etc).

Only suggestion I have is to rent a car to make it easier to get around.

Another vote for the free week at Sabal Palms. Sounds great!

We'vs stayed at the Sabal Palms twice, and loved it! Guests have full use of the Marriott World Center, which is a very short walk. The condos overlook the golf course, and is a very short drive to WDW. The rooms are very generous, and include a full size kitchen, washer/dryer, and screened in porch. The size of the tub in the master bath is more like a hot tub. It is huge. The only caution I have is that the rooms were somewhat dated, which did not bother us because of all of the amenitites. I have also heard that they have refurbished the rooms recently.

If you don't want the free week at Sabal Palms, I'll take it!:cool1:

We just returned from BWV-had a wonderful stay, but FREE is FREE!

BWV is our home:love: ; but i'd jump on ANY free offer in a second.:thumbsup2

Stick the money you'd spend in an interest-bearing account & let it ride until the next trip.

enjoy~!

I stay on and off site with DVC and my Marriott timeshares. Onsite is very nice, but free is free.

Honestly the only thing you'll notice that's different is splitting up your party between resort and outings during your day.

Go for the Marriott. They are top class and more spacious. Make your itinerary with some half days, full days and resort days. You'll have more fun.

Live it up & stay onsite? You are really asking that question? I can only imagine what my week would be like if I took that $2300 and added it to my dining, drinking and souvenier budget. Can you say.....Package pick up please!

We own DVC and still stay off-site for good deals, let alone FREE! In Sept. we stayed at HGVC when I found a 3BR for a week for $650...couldn't pass it up! Enjoy!

Another vote for Sabal Palms! I haven't stayed there, but I've heard good things about it. And FREE IS FREE!!! The villa is likely to be more spacious than a DVC villa, anyway!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!! Go out for AMAZING dinners each night! :cool1:

Take the free week, then book 3 days onsite for a 10 day vacation. You spent some money-you saved some money, then you will know what you want to do in the future, in case this choice ever happens again.

Compare your stays for future reference.
