Paul is 14 months old now and one of his favorite snacks is animal crackers. I have a big box of "Great Value" animal crackers - the Wal-Mart brand. I just gave him a couple as a snack and he ate one and started gagging and coughing. I opened his mouth and pulled out half an animal cracker - WITH THE FINGER TIP OF A LATAX GLOVE IMBEDDED IN IT! I guess it must have come from the manufacturing line somehow. Can you believe it!? He could have choked on it so easily. Now I have this half of an animal cracker with a big chunk of latex sticking out of it. Gross!

Whoa! I just noticed my new tag. I hope DH never sees that. I'll never live it down. He already thinks I'm hopeless . . .

  :p ;)

Thanks, TF! :wave2:

EEEwwwww! :crazy2:

At least it wasn't a finger, huh?

All kidding aside, I would definetly call the manufacturer, he could have choked!

How scary for you. I'd contact WalMart and let them know about it.

So glad baby Paul didn't choke on the plastic!!

UUUgghh.....a year or 2 ago DD found a dead little maggot/worm thing in the SEALED transparent straw of a Minute Maid Lemonade pouch drink. I'd buy the those 10-pack cartons....DD would take them to work (lifeguard) in her cooler/lunchbox . She brought it home (still sealed in there) I called the mfg phone number on the box and got an apology and they said they'd send some compensation for our trouble. The sent coupons for couple of free cartons
DD, now almost 18, says she was "traumatized" ;) by just laying eyes on the thing...imagine if she actual stuck the straw in and sucked it into her mouth  ...she says we should have unsealed it and claimed that she DID "drink" it and sued for mental distress ;) ....now that she's going off to college, she thinks this would have helped her financing it ;) :teeth:

My friend found a piece of rubber shaped like a finger tip in a bag of salad mix once. She just hopes it was from a glove!
To this day she cannot eat prepackaged salad.
So happy that baby Paul is okay.

How scarey!! Like we don't already worry about choking when our kids start eating table food. I'd definitely contact Walmart.

Thank goodness he doesn't have an allergy to latex - that could have been really scary! Glad he's OK!

I would definitely contact Walmart and the manufacturer - at least to let them know they need to step up their quality control!

As for your new tag - how could you not love Agent Mulder! Yum!::yes::

I would definitely let WalMart know. Many store brands are made outside of the US and their standards at times are not as high as they are in manufacturers here. That is why they are cheaper than name brand.
