:boat:I received a 11:00 PAT time, however, I had really wanted to beat the crowds to port and be one of the first checking in to see if there were any upgrades available. Will they allow me to check in the the 10:00 crowd by any chance?

TIA

yes, but they wont start letting anyone in through port security until around 10:30ish.

The port doesn't open until 10:30. As to whether you would be allowed in at 10:30 with an 11:00 PAT, I can't say for sure as it depends on crowds but I think there's a good chance you'd be allowed in before 11:00.

The parking garage opens 10ish and the terminal at 10:30. I don't think it will be a problem with you arrivaing early.
You may want to go online (or call Disney) a week before your cruise and see how many cabins are strill available and see if san upgrade is even possible.
They do cut off being able to see reservations 3 or 4 ?? days before each cruise so be sure to log on before that.

Great info, thanks everyone. I went online and checked concierge availability and there was still some available. We are 73 days out so I'm feeling good about my chances now woohoo :yay:

cross my fingers if I go through the trouble of getting there so early, they won't kick me out for being too early For my PAT. I'd hate to get to the front of the line for checking they tell me to get in the back of the line until it's my time. That would rain on my parade

If you're early for your selected PAT, and the terminal is busy, you won't be allowed to enter. If you're allowed to enter, you can check in. You won't be turned away at check in, it's at the door. And, yes, it sometimes happens that there will be a line waiting to get into the terminal because it's too full inside the building.

I'll also point out that your boarding number that you get at check in is tied to your PAT. Early PAT = lower boarding number; later PAT = higher boarding number.

Super helpful! Thanks so much :)

Not sure which ship you are sailing on but we are on the Magic in just over 2 weeks and 11am was the earliest PAT available - there wasn't anything earlier available to anybody.

Piggybacking on this....our PAT time is 12:30. I chose that because we are coming from a Disney resort via DCL transfer. Is that going to be enough time? I don't know what time they pick us up from the resort...thanks! :)

If you are taking DCL transport, technically you don't need a PAT. You will be allowed to check in whenever you arrive.

I dropped off the family at 9:30 AM at the port. They waited in line with the crowd in the overpass from the garage. I dropped off rental car, and returned in shuttle by 10:30. By 10:45, they let us into the port. We were one of the first to checkin, but no upgrades were available. Got in boarding group #4.

From what I undersand they will allow you in the terminal when you arrive BUT you boarding # is still tied to tour PAT. Once you check in you will receice a boarding #. The earlier the PAT the lower the boarding #

Generally, yes, you still receive the same boarding number that's tied to the original PAT. However, there have been reports where the CM checking in changes the boarding number once they see it's a much higher number then is being currently boarded. Not the norm, but it does happen.

pjacobi (Paul)--just checking...you said you got Boarding group #4....and that you were allowed in at 10:45 AM.
Was 10:45 AM your PAT? Or did you have an earlier (or later) PAT?

Thanks! :)
