Pat Roberston stirring up a storm again

No, the difference is one was made by a private individual and the other by a nationally known religious leader who has a large following. He delivered the religious right vote to the Republicans...which explains the lukewarm, at best, disclaimer put out by the Bu$h camp.
I would definately disagree that Pat Robertson "delivered" the Religious Right to the Republicans. I consider myself a member of the religious right and I have never seen Pat Robertson, except when the media calls attention to him. Why should the "Bush camp" do anything more than put out a "luke warm disclaimer"? He doesn't work for them, he doesn't speak for them, he is a private citizen. Private citizens can say whatever they want to say.

Chavez "cozying up" to Castro is not "diplomacy". It's coalition building. Much different than just trying to "get along".

He only met with Tenet twice? Wow! That would seem to appear he even met with Lewinsky more frequently than Tenet. Go figure.

And, was Albright in office when she was toasting Kim Jung Il?

That is indeed correct.

Wow, this thread is still going - huh? :hyper2:

Saturday night and I have a pitcher of double Margaritas. Top Shelf.

Anybody want one?

For the record, I wouldn't give Robertson a life preserver if he was drowning. I have no use for the whack job. I just find it strange the difference in the level of outrage over what two "private" yet prominent citizens said about assasinating foreign leaders, that's all. Given the Clinton adulation in this country and the audience size of This Week (about 2-3 million viewers) vs the 700 Club (about 1MM viewers) it would seem Stephanopolous has a larger following. :smooth:
