Question For anyone who may have had this situation recently or in the near past.

There are 4 of us total. The two of us are both Gold and when doing online check in we're able to get the earliest PAT of 1030am which we always get because we enjoy getting on an empty ship and heading straight to he aqua duck to enjoy no lines.

The other 2 in our party ...this will be their first cruise....soo... Of course they didn't get to do online check in until much later than us. I was prepared for this but hoping that there may be a few 1030 spots saved for their check in date but even after doing online check in 4 min after midnight the earliest PAT they could secure was 1045-1100am.

Does anyone know what the difference in boarding #'s would be for our 2 times???

I am really disappointed that we couldn't get he same boarding time because of course we wanted to take an embarkation pic together and wanted to all board as early as possible after concierge etc. I realize it's only a 15 minute difference but also know that could possibly mean a different boarding number and maybe a lot of people in btw us making the ship not empty by the time they get on.

Is there any chance we could possibly get in he same boarding group or will they definitely be one or two behind us?

I know he PAT's pretty much stand but is there any way we might get some pixie dust when checking in if we do it together? Our reservations are linked....would the cm's be able to change theirs since there is only 2?

Any other suggestions for how we could get the same PAT?

Thanks everyone

Yes I already know that. I posted because we don't want to wait as it could affect us being one of he first groups on board. I'm trying to find out if there is any way for them to board when we do as we will definitely be getting on at 1030. Also wondering if anyone here had 2 groups board at these two times and how the 15 minute difference affected the number of people that boarded in between or the boarding number they both got. Am wondering if there is any possibility that even with the two different PATS we might still end up in the same boarding group?

Thanks

To be IN the same group? Depends on how full the cruise is and how many gold cruisers are aboard. In Feb I got 10:30 as a Silver but was in boarding group 3 because there was a high number of golds who also had 10:30. Last year with a 10:30 PAT I had group 2, so it can vary widely.

That said, you can board together if you want - you would have to wait for their boarding group to be called. You can move back, but they cannot move up.

There is no problem, have everyone with you and show YOUR boarding number. You need to make sure your reservations are linked. Tell them to say they are with you, if asked.

I usually show my boarding number and then allow everyone in my party to go ahead of me, tell the person checking numbers thanks and go on.

No sweat!

Just check in together and maybe they will give you one boarding pass for the four of you since you are linked and there is only 15 minutes difference in your PAT times. Good Luck!

Your scheduled time is a Port Arrival time, not a Boarding time. They won't start boarding until about 11:30-11:45.

We have been in your situation before and were told those with the earlier number could wait for the later group but that those with the later number could not board with the earlier group. Just wait for the later group's number and all board together. You won't be that far off and it won't affect all that much. Many people don't even arrive at the port until later.
In all likelihood your boarding numbers will be 3 or 4 groups apart.

Note: I just did this 3 weeks ago with my in-laws. We are Platinum and they are Silver, they allowed our group to board with the Number 1.

Just be aware that it is not always possible. We are also Platinum and were told that we would have to wait until the boarding group for the rest of our party if we wanted to board together. I think it depends on the CM manning the entry.

Thanks for all the replies so far! Anyone else with this situation lately?
The answers you've gotten are the "norm". Basically, DCL requests for those parties with different boarding numbers that wish to board together to wait for the highest number in the group to be called. BUT, sometimes CMs manning the entry area will let small groups "pass" with a lower number. Usually if you only have like 2 extra people.
