Does anybody know if Pat O'Briens has a Happy Hour? Also, what time does the cover charge take effect? TIA

Pardon for piggy-backing, but on the same topic - is it a good place to just hang out and drink for a group not crazy about cajun food?

Not sure about Happy Hour...but I would think so....

Cover charge starts at 9pm. AND, fyi...children under 21 will NOT be allowed in after that time...even if they are only eating with adults.... You have to already be IN the restaurant to avoid the cover charge and have kids in there....

It is a great place to hang out and just drink.... it's a restaurant (doesn't serve ONLY cajun...check out a menu!) and turns into a club at 9....

They have a dueling piano bar at Pat O'Briens where a group of adults can hang out and be entertained by the piano players in the evening. We were there on a weekend so I don't know if this is weekends only or all week long. While we were there, it became standing room only, so if you want a table, get there early evening.

Not sure about a daily Happy Hour, but it used to be 2-for-1 hurricanes and Heinikens on Tuesday nights. Just yesterday, I stumbled across some "free drink" coins and wondered if they are still doing that. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the info, too.

In addition to the "piano bar," there's a quieter, cover-free bar to the left, usually with some sort of sports on TV. Either side is perfect for hanging out, depending on your mood.

Make sure you get the famous 'Hurricane"
They are fab, plus you can get a great souv. glass :)

I love those Hurricanes. I've got quite a few of those souvenir glasses now ;)

Cool. I have a friend that lives in Orlando and she said you have to
try another drink called a "SkyLab"
She said they are better than the hurricanes. Now I have to go back ;)

Thanks. I'm going in a couple of months so I'll give it a try :)
