Im gathering info for a meet on July 12th at the Lobster Shantey.. I need a round about figure of Disers who would like to attend..Please PM me if you are interested..I would like to make it a late lunch so we all could meet at the patio bar for a nightcap by the water..More info to follow..

Include me and DH. We live in E Brunswick so a trip to PP is easy.
We don't drink but would love to meet for a late lunch. We are available on weekdays and weekends in July. Now if there was a way to avoid the traffic on 34!! We have been DVC members since 1991.

Karen Sat.. is not a problem coming back..Its sunday thats a nightmare on that Garden State Parkway..I will make it there in 30 minutes from my house.

Sat. IS bad going South on the Parkway in July. I live 1 min. from the Raritan Toll Plaza on the Parkway and could NEVER make it in 30 mins.

I agree Sat is bad in both directions on the GSP. Rentals all begin and end on Saturday. I never take the Parkway on Saturday. I avoid it like the plague. 30 minutes from SI, no way! I went to college there( Wagner) and lived there for 4 years myself until I moved to Jersey 28 years ago. I think traffic has only gotten worse.

Do you think it would be possible to change the meet to a Sunday? Traffic going down on Sunday shouldn't be as bad as Saturday and since it will be for lunch we can leave the shore before the REAL traffic begins.

Ok Marylyn.The meet will take place on Sunday July 13th.But the traffic will be much worse going north.We should try to finish up by 6pm.I will contact the Lobster Shantey to make a reservation for around 20..Please let me know by this week for the people who would like to attend..

I want to go so bad, but will be in Rhode Island that weekend for a soccer tournament - uurrgghh!!!!
