Passport time for Canadian in America?

Well, I am glad I checked my passport renewal date - it is expired and I am going to need it in June! Yikes, forgot Canadian passport is only good for 5 years!

I am a Canadian citizen living in America. Any idea how long it will take for me to get a new passport? I do not have a Canadian passport office near me, so I have to send in the forms and all required documents. If I can get ahold of a guarantor before the post office closes today, I hope to send it in immediately. Is there hope?

You should get your passport well before June. I nearly got in trouble with my son's passport which was only good for three year. We received our passport two weeks after submitting it.

From what I gathered at the passport office last friday! It can take up to 6 weeks by mail! I would get it done ASAP! Good Luck

My brother who lives in Las Vegas sent his in the beginning of January and he received it back in the mail in under 3.5 weeks.
