passport question

Hi can anyone put my mind at rest.My husband and i both applied for passport renewals last wednesday through check and send at the post office.My husbands arrived yesterday but not mine.i rang the number on the check and send form and the lady said this is normal and i must give it to next friday to arrive.Now i am worried as we travel next month.just wanted to ask if anyone has been in the same position?

I wouldn't worry, leave it till Friday and then see if it arrives. You know it got there, and it will be sent out by special delivery so I think you will be okay.

We did check and send a couple of weeka ago. The lady at the post office told us that we would recieve our passports in 10 working days, which we did to the day. I would think that you will receive your other passport early next week!

We did our own passport renewal checks and sent them off all by ourselves last Friday.

My DD and I received our lovely new, renewed passports today. DH hasn't had his (yet). Always thought he looked a bit dodgy . . . .

I was told the average turn around time for normal renewals is 5-8 days, so please don't worry.
