Passport cards vs. BC?

In New Hampshire you can NOT use your passport as ID to get a drivers license. You must show a BC or a Baptismal Certificate. Even if you have a DO from another state.

Interesting.
In California, a supervisor has to verify if a BC is a legal certified copy if you use that to get a drivers license.
When I took my daughter in to get her drivers license, I brought both ..the clerk wanted nothing to do with the BC. She said the Passport was the "gold standard" for them because the U.S. Department of State had already verified both my daughter's date, and place of birth. She didn't have to wait for a supervisor like she would have with the BC.
And of course it has a photo on it to boot, and is far more difficult to couterfeit.

I was shocked when we moved there, we went to the DMV with our AZ lic and passports, they said absolutely not. They wanted the BC or Baptismal Cert. which is nothing legal at all. The only other ID they would take was an active military. And then they only give you a 6 month license. Moved back to AZ, took my NH license, gave it to the clerk with the fprm and the $, got my picture and new license good till I turn 60 or 65, I need to check.
