Passholders - have you been notified of the Best Rate Program?

What I mean is - I found out through DIS....and then of course it is on the WDW website, but I am wondering if they are promoting this yet....I haven't rec'd any e mails or letters about it??

I've never rec'd any emails from Disney re: Passholders benefits of any kind...ever.

I have received emails from the passholder website when codes had been released, and pretty fast like the day after they are out. But have not gotten anything about this new Best Rate program.

After I activated my AP I logged onto the site and saw the information.

I guess it's going to be in the next issue of the Mickey Monitor. I do receive all AP emails, AP discounts, AP contests, etc. But I did not receive anything announcing this, but they did not announce the DDE perk when that was introduced either, so why would they annouce this perk. The DDE was announced the the Mickey Monitor, but folks on the board knew before hand just like this. I think the next issue is due out in August or September, but that doesn't help with the timing of the 120 days.

I receive all the emails too, but I still think it is odd that they aren't promoting it more....I mean do you really think all AP holders log into the site that frequently?
I do, simply to see if new rates are out there...but I sort of wish they had announced this to us!! I know they don't have to - maybe they figure that is what the DIS boards are for!! their advertising!

I found out about it from Dreams Unlimited and then seen it on these boards. After that I logged on to the passholder site and seen the info there too. I have yet to get any emails about it from Disney.

Well, if they wait until the next Mickey Monitor to announce it, that's already 120 days til December. Once again, I thank goodness for info I've gotten from these boards-the only place I heard of the new best rate plan.

I have not received any notificaiton from the WDW AP program regarding the "best rate plan". I often receive e-mails from them announcing codes. If it were not for the DIS, I would not have known.

I believe the next Mickey Monitor will not be out unitl August.

I've been getting all sorts of e-mails from Disney (re: AP and otherwise) but have not seen anything official from them re: this program. Thank goodness for the DIS!

I've been toying with the idea of buying an AP to receive a discount on my room. When I called Disney reservations yesterday and asked the rep about the 120 day advance notice thing, she said that was the first she'd heard about it, and was ready to book my AP and apply the discount to my room, even though I wanted to go sooner than 120 days from now.

I found out about it here on the board. No notification from Disney. If they are pushing this thing, you would think they would send out a mass email.

I would love to know the numbers as far as AP holders/DIS members ya know the ratios and what not to see how large a group we are....we may be small??!!

the less people that book it, leaving more AP discounts to go around when/if they do call in discounts. Wouldn't it be funny if this was kind of like a "back door" way to give the DIS extra room discounts...LOL.... I bet they are reading our comments to see how this is working out. Hey Disney- this program stinks, as it stands!! Anyway, I was out of my 120 day window as soon as the program came out, so I am watching these boards for AP rates for my Oct dates.

I found out about it here on the board (thanks lollipop mom). I never get any of the passholder e-mails and that irks me becuase I know they have my e-mail address. I hope they get the e-mail system for AO holders straightened out one of these days.

I found out through my TA. She sent me an email explaining it since I had first told her that I would be interested in the AP discounts when I first booked with her
