Just a little warning, or is it just a rumor?
On Laughingplace.com's general WDW forum I saw this, AP holders going to MK on afternoon before Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party -- were asked if they were actually going to the party and if so were charged for parking!
The suggestion they gave was to simply say you were going to "MK only" regardless of your actual plans.
It was said that parking for "extra cost events" was not free for passholders also. One person argued at Guest Services saying that the policy (if existent) was not publicized well enough.
More Disney tips:

12/98 (Knights Inn on 192)

You can refuse to pay and then they have to direct you to a U-turn; you might be lucky and they just wave you into the lot anyway.
