can someone please help, we are going to the happiest place ever in march 2014, we want to purchase our park tickets from Disney, but on enquirering, we only get an e ticket and wont get our ticket until just before we go, so we wont be able to marry them up with our magic bands.Anybody else have this issue, and is there a way round it

If you get them from the Disney shop, don't you get actual park passes???

They used to give out actual tickets, but maybe they're not anymore because of the whole RFID thing and them being activated upon arrival...? I don't know for sure, just a guess. But if you're having magic bands then won't you just customise them online and pick them up when you get there?

Disney Store in Manchester Arndale told us if we booked online via Disney website, there's an option to have hard tickets sent out to you. I wasn't overly bothered as all my other parks/shows/excursions were by e-ticket so not sure if that's right or not but that's definitely what the CM said. Wish I could be of more help. Remember him saying though that the cost of this was $25 coz he'd just been to WDW with his sister and they preferred hard tickets to e-tickets. That was about Feb/March when we went to enquire bout WDW tickets. Hope that helps and really sorry if it doesn't.

If you buy from an actual Disney Store they will be physical tickets (or at least you did last year).

If you buy online you will get a will call confirmation. Theoretically these should be able to be linked to MDE however I have read of problems. The system is still in testing so I am guessing it will be fixed eventually.

In the meantime you may want to get tickets from one of UK ticket agents that sends real tickets out or Disney will post the tickets for an extra £5 per ticket.

I emailed Orlando-Ticket-Deals a few months ago to find out if they would be sending out tickets or e-tickets. They replied and said:

"Yes you will certainly be able to purchase tickets with us for Disney dont worry. Magic Bands are still in the trial stage so nothing has been confirmed yet. We work very closely with Disney so have updates all the time."

However, they never actually clarified if it would be a REAL ticket.
