CONGRATS!! and Welcome Home!

Where did you purchase and who did you use??

We bought at BWV and went through Jaki initally, then **** after Jaki went on holiday. No problems whatsover, they are both really really nice people and extremely helpful.

Congratulations and Welcome Home. Can you tell us the contract details? It may help others with their purchase.

Congratulations!!!
What does ROFR mean? I looked everywhere and I can't find that code. I know ROFL is (rolling on floor laughing), but I don't know that one. What exactly did you pass?? Obviously good news. Passing anything is good news. ::yes::
:)
Thank you!

ROFR is 'right of first refusal' by Disney/DVC. Whenever someone intends to buy a re-sale from a timeshare broker (in this case Jaki and ****) Disney has the right to buy it first from the seller. So even though the seller might agree on the terms to sell to you, you might not get it if Disney is interested in buying the points offered. It's a nailbiting experience waiting for Disney/DVC to say yes or no because each day takes soooo long!:)

We bought 350 pts in BWV U/Y Dec. We were originally only looking to buy around 150 pts but as we like to go to WDW for a minimum 10 days (usually 14) we figured we might like to splash out on a 1 bedroom once in a while!:teeth:

Wow, I can see that it would be a "nailbiting experience"! Thanks for explaining to me.
Again, Congratulations to you!!!!
Kim

And welcome to our little community on the DIS!

Congratulations! :sunny:

Can everyone who has passed ROFR lately post the details of their contract, if they haven't already? I am still waiting on ROFR (sent to Disney May 25th), and I'm wondering what my chances are!

It always pays to buy a few extra points when you live so far away .
We have owned since 1998 and have always used all our pints every year, even at DLP.

I bet you used all your 'pints' coming from Ireland!;)
Sorry, just couldn't resist, although now that I think about it, you may have meant to say 'pints' instead of 'points'!:D

You're certainly right about having a few extra points. We love WDW but we also love to travel in Europe. And as so many people on this forum have said, you can never have too many points!
