Passed ROFR 3/14, still waiting for closing docs

We're going on 22 days.
...praying for patience...

We received our closing docs after you, but are also at 22 days from ROFR. Our timeline is:

2/22 offer submitted
2/23 offer accepted
2/24 sent to ROFR
3/21 passed ROFR
4/6 closing docs received (after much pestering on my part)
4/7 closing docs returned, money wired

I just emailed the title company to see if the seller has returned their docs. I am scheduled for a 4/22 close, but basically insisted it happen sooner and was told it would happen soon after everything was received. So, if the seller returned everything I am going to drive them crazy until they close us just to get me off their back!

I prayed for patience...it didn't work! I want to get this over with. We are desperately trying to get a Nov reservation to be down there with 30+ family members and we currently have a cash reservation that we have to cancel now that we paid for DVC.

We just received word (after more pestering on my part) that all docs have been received by both parties (as of Friday, actually), and now they are waiting for Disney to "update the points status".....and that this will take another 3-4 days, and THEN they'll tell us when we can close. It seems like they just keep throwing up stuff to drag this out.

Does this sound right to anybody that's recently been through this? They are just now updating the points status?

Nope we are members and it took 13 days to get our closing docs which we just received this week and it says we are suppose to close April 19! That is for my contract I am selling. We are also purchasing and passed ROFR this week and it did say 2 weeks to get closing docs. I too have 2009 points that have to be used by Sept 30! I am sure they are swamped.

Update - We actually closed on the contract we are selling on Friday 4/8 and received the money today!!!!!!!!! TSS does an awesome job. Still have not heard back from Fidelity about the purchase - no closing papers yet but did notice that they finally processed my 500.00 deposit (credit card) today (sent it to them on 3/4!)

I had received my closing docs on 3/31 and wired and faxed within 90 minutes. Got confirmation that the sellers notarized docs arrived at the title company on 4/5 and we're still not closed.
I know Fidelity has taken some heat for delays, but they were not our resale agent. Our agent DID use the same title company as Fidelity. I'm wondering if that is where this big delay is coming from. Those who found their perfect contract on TTS and used *** seemed to get docs and close within 10 days of passing ROFR. We're going on 22 days. Some are handling this volume better than others. I know the circumstances are extraordinary, but for our family - so was this investment! Good gracious I hope we close today!

We just cleared ROFR today, will be using Timshare Title & More. Were warnted it could be awhile for closing docs to come. We'll see.

3/18 - signed contract
3/19 - submitted for ROFR
4/11 - passed ROFR
4/29 - original close by date (we've been reminded of right to extend)

Well this seemed to take forever but we just recieved an email from fidelity that we are indeed closed!!!
Timeline-made offer on 2/7 it was accepted and we signed and faxed back contract on 2/8. went to ROFR 2/14 passed on 3/14 Recieved closing docs 4/1 and closed 4/12. So the whole process took about 64 days,,,Now hoping the points show up by 5/3.We have '10points that were banked that we're hoping to use for our dec . trip and take back a few of the '11 points we used.

I have faith that ours will be soon too. We're still hoping to go in early June (kinda flexible on dates) and have put off signing up for camps, confirming sitters, etc. till we know we can get in somewhere - anywhere! This waiting stresses me out - I NEED a vacation!

Our timeline so far:

--Offer made and accepted on 3/16
--Forwarded for ROFR on 3/17
--Passed ROFR on 4/4
--Closing docs received and returned on 4/12, wire transfer coming on 4/13

VERY happy with the Timeshare Store and ***-- great service and everything without a hitch so far.

4/9 Tried to wire funds and realized the Amount was WRONG
Title company's fault
4/11 sent check overnight
4/12 Confirmed all docs with title company, no new from seller yet

3/31 received closing docs - returned them & wired $ 90 min. later

God willing, this last wait (points in account) goes fast!

ME TOO! Got an email first thing this morning that we closed yesterday, 4/13, and to allow 5-10 days before I can make a reservation!

Mind you, on Monday I was told everything was received as of Friday and sent 2 emails a day that simply said, "any updates?" I hate to be "that guy", but ultimately these people probably just wanted to get me off their back...so by closing my file both parties get what they want!

Interesting side note - I caved in and called MS yesterday just to see if maybe we closed already and they forgot to tell me. They had our names in the system, but a different ssn and address with those names. So either there's another DVC member couple with the same name, or they've changed the name on the account already, but not the rest of the information. Won't be long now!

That is interesting. I'm sure it's just a clerical thing, perhaps the file isn't fully updated? Either way, congrats--I figured 5 days would be Tuesday, but was thinking I'd call Monday as well simply b/c I was thinking maybe over the weekend they'd update the points...probably wishful thinking, but oh well! Let me know if you have any luck, and I will do the same. We are really excited to see what's available, as we have a lot of points to use right away. Congrats again, keep me posted!

Tuesday will be 3 weeks since we passed ROFR and still no closing documents! I just want to figure out if we will be able to visit the world this summer rooms vs. our schedule! This potential ressie will also impact whether we bank 2010 points (or some of them) which we need to do by 5/31. Hopefully soon closing docs. then a quick closing fingers crossed!

We got our paperwork for closing yesterday, so I'm hoping we'll get our purchase closed in the next week.

We got the word on Friday 4/15 that our BWV contract closed. Woo hoo! Now the last wait for the points to show up. We went into ROFR on 3/1. This has been one long haul!

FYI we sold a contract which closed 4/8 and the points are still showing up in our account. I am not sure at what point they disappear from my account and go to the new owner but tomorrow is 10 days and still active in my account!

Presumably those points are somehow frozen or something though, no? I would hope that a disreputable seller couldn't go in and mess around with points after a resale has closed... (Obviously speaking generally here, not casting any aspersions on you! )

Vicki, I called this morning and the points were NOT in the account. The guy who I spoke to was very helpful, he looked by my ssn, address...didn't find anything. I am not surprised, I think we both closed on the 13th and no administrative work is done on the weekends so this is only the 4th business day. He said to feel free to check back even later today. I asked him if he had any idea on average how long it was taking, and he said "It's definitely taking the full 5 days". I'm guess this is sort of a standard answer. They must be slowing down a little?
Let me know if you call today. They were very nice, it took a few minutes. I will update you tomorrow if I call...and if anybody else has any info on a recent points update with MS, please let me/us know!
