Pass upgrade question

We are planning on going to WDW in about a month and have 6 day PHP passes, never used. I purchased these passes 4 months ago. I noticed that you can upgrade into an AP and get credit for what you paid for it. My question, and maybe a stupid one, is one, how can you tell how much your ticket is worth towards trade in and two, does anyone know if I can upgrade to an AP at the SOG ticket office? One more....can any Disney store do upgrades?

i had a 5 day php pass 2 years ago that i upgraded to an ap. i went to the window at mk for the upgrade. the card should tell you how much you paid for the ticket and they will apply that to the price of the ap. i believe that since you are upgrading to an ap that you have to go to the park anyway to activate the voucher they would give you when you purchase an ap from somewhere other than one of the parks. i hope this helps! have a good time!
