Hi
I am feeling a bit of info overload but I am hoping for some experienced answers to the following
We have planned a December trip to Florida. Our main trip is based around a week at the Ron Jon Resort in Cocoa Beach. We have decided to factor in a Disneyworld stay. The first night we arrive we are staying at Pop Century. The second night we are staying at POFQ. I got fall savings rates for both nights. Our party is 2 adults and 4 kids(12,10,3,3). We do not want to spend $2000. on park tickets. I would like the kids to see all the parks if possible and was thinking that we could do a length of stay pass for our one night at POFQ and spend two days taking in the parks. Then we could "recover" at the Ron Jon.
I know Park Hoppers are a better deal but since they all seem to be 4 day passes we are still looking at a larger cash layout when we don't plan on going back to the parks from the Ron Jon. So my question is do you think it is a waste of money to buy length of stay for just the one night. Are there other alternatives out there that I don't know about? I checked out mousesavers.com and see the 3 day option through ALAMO. I know there is not a one day park hopper.
Another option would be to drop one park. Then we would do 2 one day entries plus tickets to MVMCP one night. We could early entry to MGM on the Tuesday, spend morning at park - go back to hotel room in afternoon for naps- then MVMCP that night at MK. Then the next day ?? Epcot or AK. This would keep us under $1000 for our tickets and would make DH very happy.

Any help from anyone would be appreciated. I had this same question on the Resort board but thought I should try over here.
Thanks again for all your help
Kathy

Your lenght of stay is good from the moment you check in until Midnight of the day you check out, so you wouldn't need to do a LOS at POFQ. But since either of your stay alone is 1 night but 2 days, I'm not sure what they call that--a 2 day LOS or a 1 day LOS--some experts on that will have to help you. I just know it is good until midnight (or park closing if it is before midnight).

We are not going to do a LOS at the POP as our flight doesn't get in until 5pm. So the LOS will just be for the POFQ.

Cool--you can transfer to POFQ before the parks open and even if your room isn't ready you can begin using a LOS for POFQ. But, I still don't know if they call that a 1 day or 2 day since technically it is good for 2 days.

Something else to consider--these are maxed out passes and good for everything during your stay. You may want to call WDISNEY to check on the cost of LOS for a 1 night stay--it would be the same whether at a value or deluxe. In any case--take that and compare it against the other passes--if it is not too much of a difference, the multi-day passes would be better and could be used for a future trip.

They quoted me $137.40 for Adult . $110 for child. The passes would begin at checkin on December 7 and end at midnight on Dec 8. Since we are definitely only planning 2 days in the park, not planning on returning to Disneyworld (we are closer to Disneyland and any future park trips would be here if anything) but wanting to maximize our stay is this the best bet? I haven't seen any 2 or 3 day hoppers so thought it would be worth it to be able to hit 2 parks a day. I know this is killer but it is doable when you know you have a week to recover after the fact. If we take advantage of early entry we can still get back to the hotel midday for a break.
Thanks for your help

one and two day hoppers are available to convention goers. Sometimes a good google search will lead you to a order form.
Also, we had luck in April buying two different one day hoppers off of ebay.

Those rates are not too shabby considering it is what, maybe $53 or so for a single day with no park-hopping privileges...

Pretty good deal. You are right PHPs are alot more :(

Discount orlando vacations just e-mailed me back and said they do have 2, and 3 day park hoppers passes. Look them up on the web then email them and ask for the unadvertized disney specials. do the search for disney 2 day and use the "all of the words" not the exact words. then click on one of the news letter links then on largest selection. Two day hoppers seem to be $130 for A and $110 for kids. Tey also have something called fun in the sun which is good for 30 days to Disney and the space center and a bunch of other places also.
